WiFi at the British Library
WiFi is available in the Library's London and Boston Spa Reading Rooms and in all our public areas in London. WiFi is available in all Reading Rooms and, in London, in all public areas including the café on the piazza. Founded in 1753, the British Museum's remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history. Entrance to the Museum is free. A donation of £5 is recommended. There are admission charges for special exhibitions and some events - book online now to avoid missing out.
Lastly, if you want to pray, there are inclusive prayer space on Floor 1 and 2; adjacent to Humanities Room, and on Floor 3; adjacent to Maps Room. One person can access the room at a time, and it can be locked from inside for personal privacy.

(Access to the reading rooms requires membership - which is available to all students over the age of 18.) This library is a great place to study with free WiFi and over 150 million items including the Magna Carta.The British Library's Reading Rooms are calm, inspiring places to work and access the Library's collections. Some collections are freely available online, but the majority will require a visit to the Library's Reading Rooms. Access is free, but you must first get a Reader Pass and accept our Conditions of Use.
Individuals can't borrow directly from the library, but other libraries can request books for you on inter library loan. You could ask you local library about borrowing a book for you. Or you can apply for a readers pass and read books at the library.
