Redeem a Gift Card
- Locate the claim code. Note: For plastic gift cards, you may need to scratch off the coating on the back of the card to reveal the claim code.
- Go to Your Account.
- Click Apply a Gift Card to Your Account .
- Enter your claim code and click Apply to Your Balance. Note: You can also enter your claim code during checkout.
You can add funds directly to your own Amazon.com Gift Card Balance by purchasing an Amazon.com Balance Reload. Go to Reload your Balance. Choose the amount you want to add to your Gift Card Balance then click Continue.
Limitations: Gift Cards, including any unused Gift Card balances, expire one year from the date of issuance. You may request for revalidation of any expired Gift Cards.
An Amazon gift card is only valid for the Amazon store that it is assigned to. So the answer is that no other stores accept Amazon gift cards. PS. Probably your only option to shop elsewhere, is to sell the gift cards to someone else, online or to a friend, etc..!
