22, Pandora launched a new (and super useful) feature to all iOS and Android users. According to Pandora's latest blog post, Pandora Premium listeners can now share any and all of their favorite jams, albums, playlists, and even Pandora stations via Snapchat.
Pandora is launching a new Premium Family plan that gives up to six users unlimited music streaming for $15 a month. Individual accounts for Pandora Premium cost $10, so if you're already signed up to the service and have family members who could use a free account, it's probably worth the money.
To create a new playlist from the Now Playing screen: Tap the ellipsis (three dots) below the album art. Select Add to Playlist. Choose which playlist you'd like to add the track to, or create a new playlist off of this by tapping + New Playlist.
Log in to Pandora with the master account (the one you used to upgrade to Premium Family) Visit the Subscription section of the account. Select Manage Family to view the main family plan management page. Send a family plan invite to an email address you can access.
However, there's a slightly complex workaround to do what you want to do:
- Hover the mouse the station that you want to duplicate, click on the small triangle on the right (if the station is playing, click on Options ) then Station details.
- Look at Track Seeds list:
- You can now create a new station from that seed song.
With Pandora's Premium Family plan, each user has to create their own account. Then they'll have get their own custom radio stations and playlists, be able to download music for offline listening, and have access to high-quality audio uninterrupted by ads.
Spotify listeners can choose the songs they want to play, when they want to play them. Pandora is a way for users to discover new music that matches their tastes, while Spotify—even though it offers radio stations, too—is better suited to stream and share music that users already know and love.
To avoid this you have three options:
- Pause your account on devices you are not currently using.
- Create an additional account to play a separate stream.
- Upgrade to Pandora Premium Family to share your subscription and play multiple different streams.
If you are receiving the message, "Your Pandora Account is currently playing on another device," or "Someone else is listening," then more than one device is streaming from your account at the same time. While your Pandora account can be logged into as many devices as you like, they can't be playing at the same time.
PSA: Pandora says some users' accounts are at risk of being hacked, so change your password now. Streaming radio service Pandora is alerting some of its users that their accounts are at risk of being compromised owing to a breach in a different service from a few years ago. So no, Pandora's systems weren't hacked.
If you're having issues using Pandora on iOS (ex: won't load, buffering, crashes when you open, etc.), try the following steps: Reboot the device by shutting it down entirely, then turn it back on and try Pandora again. Then re-install Pandora via the App Store on the device.
