Picking up money without the MTCN
If you have trouble getting your MTCNfrom the sender, or you have lost or forgotten your trackingnumber, you can still collect money. You should callWestern Union Customer Care at 1-800-325-6000.If you've transferred money and themoney hasn't yet been picked up, call our fraudhotline at 1-800-448-1492 to stop the transaction. If thefunds haven't been picked up by the receiver, you'll get afull refund, including the transaction fee.
After you send money, you'll get a receipt and eachreceipt includes a unique tracking number (MTCN),which is a 10-digit number assigned to every money transferyou make with us.
Your money order should have a serial number, typicallylocated in the same area a check number would be on a check(The top-right corner). Your MTCN should be on yourreceipt.
