FedEx Ground same-day pickup service is available in select areas (provided you request it before the cut-off time in your area) for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery® packages, excluding FedEx Ground return solutions. Select Schedule a Pickup or call 1.800. 463.3339 and say "schedule a pickup."
Fedex Express normally delivers business packages until 3pm in most areas and residential packages until 430pm - except in what is called the “PM” areas which are further away in which case everything is delivered until 430pm.
Does UPS / FedEx usually deliver packages within their expected delivery time window? The answer (for FedEx Express) is no. If your package is scheduled to be delivered by 10:30AM on Monday, FedEx will reattempt when convenient Tuesday (and Wednesday if necessary).
Scheduled delivery: The shipment is scheduled for delivery on or before the scheduled delivery displayed. FedEx does not determine money-back guarantee or delay claim requests based on the scheduled delivery. Delivery says next monday, but standard transit says this friday.
They then show no delivery on that date. The next day there is no “out for delivery” just a “delivered” statement. It usually says “will attempt delivery the next business day” along with a new “out for delivery” for the next business day.
FedEx Ground is a different operating company and employees only surface methods (trucks) to transport packages. While the Express service above is a "day definite" (meaning that the customer is promised which day the package will arrive based on the service they select), FedEx Ground does not promise a specific day.
If you are a UPS My Choice member or Premium member, you can pick a 2-hour confirmed delivery window from within the original 4-hour estimate. All members can choose their delivery window option two days before the scheduled delivery date until the morning of the scheduled day of delivery.
FedEx 2Day® delivers in 2 business days by 4:30 p.m. to most areas, and by 7 p.m. to residences. Monday-Friday, with Saturday pickup available in many areas for an extra fee. Delivery to some rural areas of Alaska and postal codes in Hawaii in 3 business days.
Priority Mail Express is the fastest mail service offered by the Postal Service. It provides guaranteed 1-Day or 2-Day expedited service by 3 p.m. for any mailable matter and includes $100 of insurance coverage. Priority Mail Express delivery is offered 365 days a year in many locations.

Call FedEx at 800-463-3339 to request the company reroute a package. You can have the package rerouted to a different street address in the same city, from its place on hold at one FedEx location to another or from hold at a FedEx location to a delivery.

A USPS overnight flat rate envelope ships to “most places” for only $17.50 regardless of weight or distance. If you can fit it in the envelope, it's only $17.50. UPS and FedEx don't do that, so prices vary depending on what you're sending.
Overnight Letters
If you need UPS Next Day Air Early, it costs $80.98! FedEx Standard overnight in a half pound FedEx Envelope starts at $46.38. If you need it FedEx First Overnight, it jumps to $81.69!If applicable, "Same Day Shipping" on an order means that the order will leave our warehouse the Same Day! The estimated time of arrival for an order depends on the shipping method which is selected during checkout.

It's the same in most developed countries. But data from the Perinatal Institute, a non-profit organisation, shows that an estimated date of delivery is rarely accurate - in fact, a baby is born on its predicted due date just 4% of the time.
Tracking information for USPS and FedEx can take 24 hours to update after the shipping label has been created. If your tracking information has not updated and it is within this 24 window, you should see progress in the tracking very soon.
If the tracking status of your shipment is “In Transit”, it means that your package is on its way to its final destination. It does not necessarily mean that your package is in a moving vehicle such as an aircraft of truck, it may be at a FedEx facility.
View the estimated delivery date on the report. Call FedEx at 1-800-463-3339 if you want to track your package by telephone. Press "2" at the main menu. Then speak your tracking number, or enter it using your keypad.
FedEx tracking is extremely reliable. What you're seeing is the information that Apple sends electronically to FedEx when the package is ready for shipment, a system used by many bulk shippers. FedEx may have already picked it up but hasn't scanned it into their system.
UPS Ground packages are generally delivered anytime Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (and sometimes later) to residences, and to business addresses during their normal business hours Monday through Friday. UPS Ground packages cannot be scheduled to arrive at a specific time of day.
Unified tracking is reliable but may confuse customers: A benefit of using SmartPost is that recipients can track the package even when it's on the USPS leg of the journey. Shippers report that once FedEx hands off the package to USPS, it will indicate briefly that the package has been delivered.
Yes, You can pick up USPS package delivery before delivery at your address. You can give it a try but there is no guarantee whether you will be able to pick up the package or not. Because they are very strict or sometime it will already in despatch so, you can't pickup package before delivery.
UPS Delivery Intercept allows you to interrupt your package before it's delivered using your automated UPS shipping or tracking system--so you can return, redirect, or hold your package. It's easy to use, but your customer will think you moved mountains.
For a fee, USPS Package Intercept® lets the sender or recipient stop delivery or redirect a package, letter, or flat that is not out for delivery or already delivered. Most domestic mailings with a tracking or extra services barcode are eligible for Package Intercept. You can only request a Package Intercept online.
You can have your shipment picked up from your home or office by scheduling your pickup online at ups.com or by calling 1-800-PICK-UPS® (1-800-742-5877). UPS will pick up all packages with a single pickup request; you will not be charged pickup fees per package.
With UPS Delivery InterceptSM, you can conveniently request delivery changes for packages you sent, prior to the first delivery attempt. You can have packages returned to you, redirected to another address, rescheduled to another day, or held for pickup by the recipient.
With Delivery Change Request, you as the receiver, can request that UPS change the original delivery instructions for your shipment after the first delivery attempt via phone or the Web. UPS will perform one of the following actions: Will Call: Hold the shipment for pickup.
According to the USPS, mail can be considered “undeliverable” due to a number of factors ranging from insufficient postage to the person it's addressed to refusing to accept it. Regardless of the reason the mail cannot be delivered, the USPS states that: “All nonmailable pieces are returned to the sender.”
Companies will be alerted by the sender or their tracking system that the shipment wasn't delivered to the right address. Even if you don't alert them of the wrong delivery, they still might call your house or show up at your door asking where the package is.
Upgrade to UPS® Ground
Since UPS SurePost is a contract-only service with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service, you would no longer be able to track the delivery once we hand off the shipment. Packages upgraded to UPS Ground service may also arrive a day or two earlier.
