Smallville wrapped up back in 2011 after 10 seasons, and shared a network with Supernatural. Take, for example, season six's 'The French Mistake', which saw Sam and Dean end up in an alternate reality where Supernatural is a TV show and everyone thinks they are the show's actors, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
In the season two episode of Supernatural, “Crossroad Blues,†the show dealt with the blues musician who made a deal with a crossroads demon for musical talent in exchange for his soul. The third episode of Constantine, “The Devil's Vinyl,†just dealt with the same thing.
[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Season 5, Episode 9 of Legends of Tomorrow, “Zari, Not Zari.â€] The Arrowverse just added to its list of crossovers — sort of.
This, of course, is a reference to the adventures of Sam and Dean Winchester, who have certainly gone to versions of Hell and back again across Supernatural's run. It's also confirmation of sorts that yes, Supernatural is seemingly a TV show within the current DC universe.

Every future season of Arrow and The Flash would have a crossover episode in the eighth or ninth episode of the season. It's our recommendation that you watch the first seven episodes of Arrow, and then the first seven episodes of Flash before watching the crossover.
Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and the Flash, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) swap bodies and abilities in CW's 'Elseworlds' crossover.
The shared Arrowverse has been on our screens for just over 6 years now and we've seen a total of four crossover events. If you don't count the seasons currently running on TV that's 397 episodes of TV to binge! With so many characters spread across so many shows, it's natural that they team up and fight together.
The crossover began in Supergirl episode 2x8 "Medusa," though that was more of a teaser at the end of the episode (featuring the scene of Barry and Cisco recruiting Supergirl), and continues after the Flash episode in Arrow episode 5x8, also called "Invasion!," and ends with the Legends episode 2x7 "Invasion!"
The Arrowverse Invasion watch order is as follows: Supergirl 2×08, then The Flash 3×08, next Arrow 5×08 and finally, Legends of Tomorrow 2×07.
