There are three types of permits: an annual permit which costs $25, a 3–day permit which costs $9, and a daily permit which costs $4. Permits are sold online at and by permit sales agents at various resorts, sporting goods stores and other retail outlets.
Sno-Park permits are available beginning November 1 through April 30 either online or by purchasing it from one of many permit vendors, including various retail locations; Washington State Parks region offices; Lake Easton, Lake Wenatchee, Mount Spokane, and Fields Spring state parks; Washington State Parks
One-year ($30) and two-year ($50) parking passes are available online, by phone at (800) 551-6949 with a Visa or MasterCard, from state park offices and from other vendors all over the state. Daily parking permits ($5) are available at every day-use park that charges a fee.
Please note that the pass does not cover winter sno-parks, cabin rentals, climbing or wilderness permits, or camping fees at developed campgrounds.
The pass is available at National Forest offices and visitor centers, via private vendors or online. You can also buy the day pass (called an ePass) online and print it at home. Note that WTA and some other vendors listed do not carry day passes. Northwest Forest Pass: $30.

Park and drive care fully within SNO-PARK sites. Overnight parking, including in-vehicle camping is allowed except where noted or signed at SNO-Park sites. Tent camping or sleeping outside a vehicle in the park ing area is prohibited at all SNO-PARK sites.
The one in government camp across from the Timberline Road allows overnight parking, or at least, I've left my car there for a couple of days without any problem. People have gotton towed parking overnight at Meadows.

Kapka Sno-ParkDogs are allowed at the park, along with snowshoers and snowmobilers, so keep an eye out and share the trails.
Upon your arrival at Timberline, there will be a mandatory Check Point stop. At this time, overnight camping is not permitted in Timberline parking lots. A Timberline representative will direct you to the Salmon River parking lot.

Tombstone Summit, Santiam Pass and Salt Creek Sno-Parks are good sledding areas. Willamette Pass Ski Area and Hoodoo Ski Area both offer tubing hills for a fee.

Yes. The Interagency Access Pass is a lifetime pass that is free for any US citizen or permanent resident, including a veteran or Gold Star Family member, who has a permanent disability. An Access Pass may also provide discounts for expanded amenities like camping, guided tours etc.

For a lucky few that live in Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Tennessee, there is no need to even pay for an annual state park pass. All these states offer free entrance to their state parks making a state park pass meaningless and all the more reason to get out and visit them.
The Senior Pass replaces the Golden Age Passport. This is a lifetime pass for US citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an entrance or standard amenity fee. This pass replaces the Golden Access Passport.
Day ePass and National Forest Day Pass ($5) - Day use pass honored at all Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required. Buy Day Pass (Purchase day passes ahead of time for when you need them. Receive via mail.)
Free camping can be enjoyed practically anywhere on BLM or national forest land, and Oregon has an incredible amount of both. With 15.7 million acres of BLM land and 16 million acres of national forest, almost 50% of the state is covered by public land.
Passes can have two owners, so you and a spouse, friend, relative, co-worker, etc., can share the pass and split the cost. You'll need to show the pass with valid identification, so you'll want to be sure you share it with someone you can easily share the pass back and forth with.
SNO-PARKS are currently open for the season (November 1 – May 30). Before heading out to SNO-PARKS, make sure to purchase a pass online.
The Donner Summit Sno-Park is open from November 1 - May 30. Sno-Park permits are required, and are available online or from designated vendors.
Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Thursday through Monday, closed most Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during holiday dates). Weekends and holidays opens at 9:00 AM. Holiday Dates: November 26 -29, 2020; December 19, 2019, through January 3, 2021; January 16-18, 2021; February 13-21, 2021.
RV camping at Sno-ParksYou can enjoy snow camping at state parks, too! Your crew can play all day and sleep like logs in most Washington Sno-Parks. (A few exceptions include Hyak, Gold Creek and Cabin Creek, which do not allow overnight parking.)
The sno-park is also open to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow play.
