Please apply for a new passport at the Consulate if your current passport is expiring in about six months or contain no space / pages for visas. In such a case, your new passport will have a validity period of 5 years, plus the remaining validity of your old passport.
A S$70 fee is payable if you apply online. A fee of S$80 in foreign currency equivalent is payable if you apply in person at Singapore Overseas Mission.

Chinese Singaporean names are written in the Roman alphabet on their passport and birth certificate. The red passport, also described as maroon, is valid for five years.
