Clean any fuel spills quickly and efficiently.
- Ventilate the area.
- Extinguish any open flames in the area of the diesel fuel.
- Sprinkle cat litter over the diesel fuel on the concrete.

To clean up gasoline, start by covering the spill with something that will soak it up, such as clay cat litter, trisodium phosphate, or sawdust, and letting it sit for an hour. Once the gasoline has been absorbed, sweep up the substance with a broom and dustpan and throw it away.

Yes, in some cases, WD-40 may help remove oil stains from concrete driveways. WD-40 is a water displacement spray that has the ability to penetrate and remove grease. To use WD-40, first spray a generous amount on the oil stain then let it sit for at least twenty minutes.
Dish soap.
Choose a highly concentrated, oil busting dish soap, such as Dawn. Squirt it over the stain and spread it around to cover the entire affected area. Wipe the soap and oil residue away with paper towels again, then use a garden hose to clean the rest of the soap away.Absorb the Oil Stain

It may seem like a simple problem, but there's a right way and a wrong way to clean up spilled gasoline on concrete and asphalt, because left unattended to, it can be problematic. Gas spills leave noticeable stains on concrete and can badly damage asphalt.
Be sure to start watering the concrete in the morning and keep watering throughout the hottest part of the day. Do not start watering during the hottest part of the day because it could shock the concrete into developing surface crazing (similar to a hot glass breaking when filled with cold water).
Pouring Concrete vs Pouring Rain. If the rain occurs when the concrete is fresh (about 2-4 hours after mixing), the surface should be protected from the rain. If the finishing process was recently completed, rainwater may not cause damage as long as it is not worked into the surface and the slab is left untouched.
Generally, concrete sets in 24 to 48 hours allowing for you to walk on it and partially cured within a week (keep the cement free and clear of heavy equipment during this period) at which you can continue building/construction. Most mixes fully cures at 28 days.
If the soil is wet, it will add water to the concrete. So that is why we either want to wait for the concrete to dry before covering it, or take precautions to prevent the migration of water or water vapour to other building materials.
The 28-Day Myth. Throughout the construction industry, the common belief is that concrete takes 28 days to cure and reach 100% of its strength. Specifying concrete strength is normally done with a minimum compressive strength (psi) at a certain age (days).
Your new concrete is designed to reach 90% of its full strength potential after 7 days, so feel free to drive your personal vehicle on it then. It will take additional time before you can drive or park heavy equipment or machinery on your newly poured concrete, so make sure to wait at least 30 days.
Although concrete will harden soon after pouring, it's still susceptible to damage from weight during the first four weeks. Wait at least 24 hours before allowing foot traffic, including pets, on a newly poured sidewalk or slab, and don't drive a vehicle on a new driveway for at least 10 days.
