Hobby Airport (HOU) is located approximately 11 miles southeast of downtown Houston. Exit Monroe Road and travel west. Turn right on Airport Boulevard.
Southwest Airlines flies to Dallas Love Field and ensures a smooth travel experience. When you book with Southwest, the process will be simple from selecting your flight to checkout.
Select from Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue, Delta or Via Air, all of which service various destinations around the U.S. This airport is recommended for travelers who want to avoid long security lines and who want a quicker ride to Galveston.
It's recommended that you arrive at least two hours before your scheduled departure time. Though, some airports may recommend more than two hours before. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time, so you can get through TSA with time to spare.
Please arrive to your gate at least 30 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure. All passengers must obtain their boarding passes and be in the gate area available for boarding at least 10 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure time.
Southwest: Curbside check-in is available at "a majority" of the airports served by Southwest. The airline says that "We do not charge a fee for this service, although gratuities are accepted." United: Curbside check-in is available on United for no additional cost at approximately 40 airports.
Go to southwest.com and click 'Check In' to reserve your boarding positions. Please enter the confirmation number and first and last name of any one of the travelers. 2. You will only be able to check in one Passenger at a time.
Your carryon
Carryon items are limited to one bag plus one smaller, personal-type item. Southwest Airlines limits carryon bag dimensions to 10 x 16 x 24 inches. All Customers and Employees and their items are subject to a thorough physical search.Southwest will accept the first two checked bags for free provided that the bags do not exceed 50 lbs and 62 inches (L+W+H). Overweight items from 51 to 100 pounds and oversized items in excess of 62 inches but not more than 80 inches will be accepted for a charge of $75.00 per item one-way.
