On polarized sunglasses, the filter creates vertical openings for light. Only light rays that approach your eyes vertically can fit through those openings. The lenses block all the horizontal light waves bouncing off a smooth pond or a shiny car hood, for instance.
The method is simple: Just apply the abrasive substance or cleaner to your lenses using a cotton ball or lint-free cloth and rub until the toothpaste or baking soda is absorbed. Repeat until you can no longer see the scratches.

To use the benefit, you will have to visit a participating, authorized, independent VSP optometrist. Because it requires an VSP insurance pre-authorization from an optometrist, you will not be able to just walk into the local Sunglass Hut or Nordstrom to use this benefit.
Put a dab of toothpaste on your finger, swirl it around the lenses where the scratches are, wait a few minutes, rinse with warm water, and dry with cotton balls. This should work to buff some of the finer dings.

The Gucci logo should be engraved on the metal piece in the middle. Many fake Gucci sunglasses do not have this on the nose pads. Do a polarization test. Sunglasses may not be polarized, even if they are dark.
Sunglass hut is an ok place to work if you are only looking for part time. It's great if you are going to school or just looking for something to do sometimes. They don't give a lot of hours especially during fall and winter time when it's slow. You could probably get up to 6 hours a week.
