An IELTS band 4.5 is between an IELTS band 4 and a band 5. At an IELTS band 4, you have a very basic understanding of English and you are more comfortable communicating in familiar situations.
You can take the IELTS Indicator on any suitable desktop computer or laptop with reliable internet access. You will need to complete the Listening, Reading, and Writing in one sitting. The Speaking test will take place either a few days before or after the Listening, Reading, and Writing test.
The IELTS test location staff will check your identity when you arrive. Please bring your original and valid passport you used when you booked your test, along with a colour photocopy. Driving licenses, student IDs and other documents are not accepted as valid proof of identification.

And because the content for both the paper-based and computer-delivered IELTS test is the same, the level of difficulty is also same. The only difference might be your level of confidence in sitting your IELTS test on a computer. If you are tech savvy, you might prefer to take IELTS on a computer.

Simply enter your IELTS Reference Number and email on the test taker login page. You will find your IELTS Reference Number in the confirmation email you received from the test centre.
Your Candidate number would be provided to you on the day of the test at your exam center by concerned bodies. Your Ielts reference number is the one which is mentioned in the confirmation mail which you would have received when you registered for the Ielts test.
In case the change is requested within 20 days of the exam date, the candidate can make the changes on the test day.
Step 1: Go to IELTS Essentials and log into your IELTS account with your username and password. Step 2: Once you have logged into your account if you need to change any of your personal details (examples: your name, address or email) click “Update Details”.
If you find that your personal details are incorrect on the Test Report Form, please contact the centre where you took the test. Documentation must be provided to verify the correct details. If you change your name after receiving your Test Report Form, the name will not be changed on the Test Report Form.
Under “where are you currently studying English” the following facility appears: Clicking on the Browse button, you can select your scanned document for upload. NOTE: Please make sure before you reach this point, to have scanned your identification document (either your National ID document or valid Passport).
The IELTS test consists of four sections: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will always take the listening, reading and writing parts all on the same day one after the other, with no breaks between them.
A: If you have registered for computer delivered IELTS, please log into the Test Taker Portal, click on your test date, and then click on the Test Taker tab. Please click the notification “You need to upload identification document” and follow the instructions on how to upload your ID.
Check IDP IELTS website www.ielts.idp.co.th for any last minute announcement. Check your email 2 days before the test date. The email will confirm you about the test venue and any last minute notification on the venue change.
In IELTS Reading and Listening, getting a Band 8 score means correctly answering at least 89% of the questions. Since IELTS Reading and Listening have 40 questions each, this means at least 36 of your answers in each section muse be correct.
While both IELTS and TOEFL require basic preparation at the least, many takers felt that to prepare for TOEFL was harder. Also, the reading section in IELTS is considered much easier when compared to that of TOEFL's. So, you'll need to prepare for TOEFL harder, as far as reading section is considered.
