- Select all the shapes that you want to move.
- On the View tab, in the Macros group, click Add-Ons, point to Visio Extras, and then click Move Shapes.
- Under Direction, specify the coordinate system the you want to use to move the shape or shapes.
- Specify the distances to move the selection.
Copy a page in a multiple-page document
- Place your cursor at the beginning of the page you want to copy.
- Click and drag the cursor to the bottom of the page you want to copy.
- Press Ctrl + C on your keyboard. Tip: Another way to copy your highlighted text is to click Home > Copy.
How To Merge MS Visio (VSD) Files
- Run MS Visio Join (Merge, Combine) Multiple Files Software.
- Click the "Add MS Visio File(s)" button to add files. Then an open file dialog will appear, hold CTRL or SHIFT key to select multiple files.
- To start joining the selected MS Visio files, click the "Join!" button.
Click the shape, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the shape to a new location. Hold down the Shift key, and then press an arrow key in the direction you want to move.
Save a diagram as a graphic or image file

Copy From Visio to PowerPoint
Either open Visio's Home tab and choose Copy or use the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut. If it's a multipage image, make sure the page you want to use in your PowerPoint slide is active. You can then paste it into your PowerPoint slide deck.Press and hold Shift or Ctrl while clicking shapes to select multiple shapes one at a time. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Select, and then click Select All.
Right-click the Visio drawing in Word document and from Link Visio Object sub-menu, click Open Link. It will instantly open drawing in Visio 2010, allowing you to insert, modify, edit graphic data and shapes. For editing, deleting shapes or text, select the box and remove the box or edit it as required.
Press "Ctrl-Enter" to create a new page in your Word document, or press "Ctrl-N" to create a new document. Click "Insert" in the Word ribbon, and click "Shapes" in the Illustrations group. Click individual shapes in the panel labeled "flowchart," and then click and drag over the page to create your flowchart shapes.

Edit a diagram

Copy and Paste PowerPoint Slide into Word

Method 2Creating a Flowchart Manually
- Open a Word document. Double-click a document to open it in Word.
- Click the Insert tab.
- Click Shapes.
- Click a shape under the ″Flowchart″ header.
- Add the shape to the document.
- Add additional shapes.
- Drag the shapes to the desired locations.
- Create text boxes for the labels.
Hold down the Shift key and then click on all the shapes and the chart they go with, then right-mouse click on the shaded border of a selected shape and choose GROUP. Then copy and paste to Word.
Follow the steps below to use it.
- Select the block of text you want to copy.
- Press Ctrl+F3. This will add the selection to your clipboard.
- Repeat the two steps above for each additional block of text to copy.
- Go to the document or location where you want to paste all of the text.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+F3.
Copy a text box
- Select the text box you want to copy. Make sure that the pointer is on the border of the text box and not inside the text box.
- Press Control + Click, and then select Copy. Or, press.
- Select the location in your document where you want to paste the text box, press Control + Click, and then select Paste.
To copy to a diagram:
- Right-click on the selected shapes, select Copy > Copy to Diagram from the pop-up menu.
- When the Copy to Diagram dialog box pops out, check Create new diagram if you want to paste to a new diagram or check Select an existing diagram if you want to paste to an existing diagram.
Copy the attributes of a shape
- Select the shape with the attributes that you want to copy.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+C to copy the shape attributes.
- Press the TAB key or SHIFT+TAB to select the shape or object that you want to copy the attributes to.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+V.
From the Edit menu, choose Copy. This will place the 3D image into the Windows Clipboard so that it can be pasted into many things such as MS Word or Paint programs. Click on the ChemSketch button at the bottom. Select Draw mode (top left-hand corner).
