To insert an Image content block, follow these steps.
- Click and drag the Image block into your layout.
- Drag and drop an image from your computer into the Image content block. Or, click Browse to open the content studio and choose an image.
- After the image appears in the content block, click Save & Close.
Style a background image
- In the email or landing page designer, click the Style tab.
- Choose the section that contains your background image.
- Under Background, click Edit to make changes to the image in the Photo Editor.
- When you've finished making changes in the photo editor, click Save to return to your campaign.
Content blocks are groups of layout containers and cells that can be re-used when building responsive emails or landing pages . They can be a combination of different cell types such as text, images, dynamic content, shared content, and more.
To insert an Image + Text content block, follow these steps.
- Click and drag the Image + Text block into your layout.
- Drag and drop an image from your computer into the Image + Text content block.
- After the image appears in the content block, Click Save & Close.
To add a section, follow these steps.
- In your page layout, hover your cursor over the plus (+) icon where you'd like the new section to go.
- Click Add Section.
- On the Add Section step of the Sections panel, choose the section type you'd like to add.
- Choose a layout for your new section.
Tables are declared with the mc-table class. For screens larger than 1024px, the tables are 100% wide and span the entire available space.
In order to add the Mailchimp block, click on the Add Block button.
- Add a new block and search for Mailchimp.
- Type /mailchimp in a new block.
- Adding Paragraph, List and Image Blocks above the Mailchimp Block adds a unique style to your page.
- In your Mailchimp Audience, click Settings → Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags.
On the Edit Image screen, click show image style options. Click the Align drop-down menu and choose whether to place your image to the left or right, or in the center of your text. Enter a number in the Margin fields to add space between your image and the wrapped text. Click Save & Insert Image.

Nesting Content BlocksContent blocks can be nested, but only once!
Content blocks let you establish a block of common content that you can reuse in multiple emails, forms, and/or pages. Use them to establish common headers, footers, and other blocks of content that you would like to standardize across your communications. Content blocks work like templates.
To edit your custom template, follow these steps.
- Click the Campaigns icon.
- Click Email templates.
- Browse the template list or search or the template you want to edit.
- Click Edit for the Code your own template you want to work with.
- After you're done, click Save in the lower-left corner.
From the audience settings
- Click the Audience icon.
- Click Audience dashboard.
- If you have more than one audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.
- Click the Manage Audience drop-down and choose Settings.
- Click Required email footer content.
- Make your changes, and click Save.
Generating iframe code
- Go to MailChimp and signup for an account.
- Create A List: Click "Lists" > "Create List"
- Change List Settings: Click "Settings" > "List name and campaign defaults"
- Generate Embedded Form: Select "Signup forms" > "Embedded forms"
To create a template for the new email builder, follow these steps.
- Click the Campaigns icon.
- Click Email templates.
- Click Create Template.
- Hover over the template you want to start with and click Select.
- In the Create New Template pop-up, enter a name and click Save.
Turn on the InlinerTo turn on the CSS inliner, follow these steps. In the Content section of the campaign builder, click Design Email. On the template step, click the Code Your Own tab and select Paste in code. On the design step, paste in your HTML code.
Use the Clear Styles tool
- In the Content section of the Campaign Builder, click Edit Design.
- On the Design step, click to edit the content block you want to work with.
- Highlight the text in the content block, and click Clear Styles.
- Click Save & Close.
To style your footer, follow these steps.
- In the Content section of the campaign builder, click Design Email.
- Click the Footer block you want to work with.
- Click the Style tab.
- Make your changes as needed and click Save & Close.
With Dynamic Content, you can use one email to show different content to different recipients. This can save you lots of time. For example, let's say you send a weekly newsletter to all subscribers.
A content box is an area of an email where you can insert text, links, images, and tables in classic Email Studio. You can build and edit content by managing content boxes in an email. Content boxes are based on a standard template or an HTML paste template.
To see recovered campaign content, follow these steps. Navigate to the Campaign Builder, and click a text block to edit it. In the edit pane, click the Recovered Content button. Click the left and right arrows to view each piece of recovered content.
