Create a team from an existing group
- First click Teams on the left side of the app, then click Join or create a team. at the bottom of your teams list.
- Then click Create team. (first card, top left corner).
- From here, select Create from…, and choose Microsoft 365 group.
- Select your desired group, and a team with the same name will be created automatically.

Activate publishing at the site level
- From any page within the site, select Settings. and then select Site settings.

Yes, you can convert an Office 365 Group to a distribution group.
An Office 365 administrator can create and manage distribution groups for an organisation. Internal users (users that have a mailbox in your organisation) and external users (people that don't have a mailbox in you organisation) can be added as members of a distribution group.
You cannot add distribution groups to SharePoint groups, but you can expand a distribution group and add the individual members to a SharePoint group. If you use this method, you must manually keep the SharePoint group synchronized with the distribution group.
Control who can send to a distribution group
- Select Settings > Options > Groups > Distribution groups I own.
- Select the distribution group that you want to change the settings for.
- Select Edit .
- Select Delivery management.
