Well, it's a clever way you can declare your love by sharing custody of all the Velocity Points and Status Credits you earn. If you've got kids, you can get them involved too, with up to six eligible family members for your Family Points Pool (provided everyone is living at the same address).
Family Points Pooling is an exclusive Velocity benefit that allows members to pool either their Velocity Points or their Points plus Status Credits with family members living at the same address. A Family Pool can consist of a maximum of six family members (including the beneficiary).
Generally, you can't transfer your points between different programs e.g transferring Velocity Points to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and vice versa. This even applies to partnered airline schemes.
