Many sets made by Sony, Philips, Sharp and others come with Chromecast built-in (no need for any add-ons, though there is some difference in functionality) as do TVs by Toshiba, Vizio and Skyworth, plus some models announced by LG and Hisense.
Tap the Cast button in a Cast-enabled app.

Chromecast began to feature on TVs with the Android TV operating system in 2017. So it now includes most Sony and Philips TVs from 2017 onwards, plus many from the likes of LG, Sharp, Toshiba, Polaroid and Vizio. Award-winning TVs, such as the LG OLEDC9 and Sony KD-49XG9005 feature Chromecast built-in for easy casting.
Cast your entire Android screen
- Make sure your mobile phone or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast device.
- Open the Google Home app .
- Tap the device you want to cast your screen to.
- Tap Cast my screen. Cast screen.

Depending on your Android TV menu options, make sure that the Google Chromecast built-in app is enabled.
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options: Select Apps → See all apps → Show system apps → Google Chromecast built-in → Enable.

TV with built-in wireless LAN and one that's wireless LAN-ready.
Network Setup
- Connect to an unsecured network. Select Scan.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password. Select Scan.
- Press the WPS button. Select WPS (Push Button).
- Enter the WPS PIN.
How to use your Chromecast without a Wi-Fi connection, and cast all of your favorite content even without internet. If you can't connect to Wi-Fi, you can still stream to your Chromecast by using Guest Mode on the Google Home app, mirroring your Android device's screen, or connecting a cord from your device to your TV.
Google Chromecast is a unique device that plugs into any TV or monitor with an HDMI port, and can stream content from your phone or computer onto the big screen.
Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible devices are turned on and near each other. Check that the devices are updated to the latest software and are on the same Wi-Fi network. Restart the devices that you want to use with AirPlay or screen mirroring.
With AirPlay 2 available on select Samsung TV models (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021), you'll be able to stream shows, movies, and music, and cast images from all your Apple devices directly to your TV.
It is common that screen mirroring not working on Samsung TV. Try to restart your devices, both your TV and your phone. Pair and connect your phone to your TV with the same WiFi. Reboot the WiFi router.
Mirror your Android phone or tablet screen to the TVFrom your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app. Tap the left hand navigation to open the menu. Tap Cast screen / audio and select your TV.
Follow the steps below to mirror with Smart View.
- Swipe down from the top screen to open the Quick panel > tap on Smart View icon.
- Select your TV from the list of available devices (depending on the TV, you may need to enter a PIN).
- Select Start now on the pop-up message that says 'Start casting with Smart View?'
Mirror your screenOn your PC, click Start, then Settings, and then Devices. Click Bluetooth & other devices, then Add Bluetooth or other device, and then Wireless display or dock. Click your TV once its name is displayed. If prompted, select Allow on your TV.
First try turning off your Chromecast by unplugging it, and while it's unplugged power off your mobile device and home router. Keep everything off for about 1 minute. Turn your router and/or cable modem back on, and wait for the connection to fully reestablish, about 2 minutes. Turn on your Chromecast.
