Some of these were attributed to allergic reactions to the metals used, but many other symptoms from wearing Fitbit fitness trackers can easily be attributed to the EMF radiation from the devices.

Our favorite Fitbit for women is Fitbit's second-generation smartwatch, the Fitbit Versa 2. It offers several different color combos and options for style and versatility. Plus, it hosts Fitbit's most advanced health and fitness tracking features, on top of a built-in microphone and Amazon Alexa.
Fitbit is the leading global wearable brand with over $1.6 Billion in sales during 2017, but the company suffers from one fundamental problem. The devices break, and they break often. Everything breaks — cars break, refrigerators break, even world records get broken.
Fitbit will replace or fix your tracker's regular wear-and-tear damage within one year of the date you purchased it. Additionally, if you are having any problems with the Fitbit app on your phone or the Fitbit website dashboard, that also isn't covered by the warranty.
For trackers, charge the device to 100% at least once every 6 months; for watches, charge the device to 100% at least once per year.
It's one of the best fitness trackers you can use right now and comes with fitness features such as a heart rate tracker, guided breathing, swim tracking and improved notifications. If you opt for the Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition, you'll get Fitbit Pay compatibility as well.
In May 2013, Fitbit released the Fitbit Flex, the first Fitbit tracker worn on the wrist. It tracks movement 24 hours a day, including sleep patterns.
You can plug the charging cable into a computer, a UL-certified USB wall charger (such as an iPhone or Android wall charger), or a DC-to-USB adapter (car charger).
The Fitbit Flex allows you to track your sleep efficiently by calculating how long you actually slept by tracing your movements in your sleep — the less you move, the better your sleep. Your Fitbit Flex will then vibrate and two lights will turn on to show that you successfully turned on sleep mode.
When Flex 2 is charging, each light represents a 25% progress towards a complete charge. When Flex 2 is fully charged, a green light will flash and all five lights will shine for a few seconds before turning off.
Today, Fitbit also killed off four wearables: the Alta (released February 2016), Alta HR (released March 2017), Flex 2 (released October 2016), and Zip (released September 2012).
Charge your Fitbit tracker.
- Remove the tracker from the wristband if necessary.
- Insert the tracker into the USB charger, round end first.
- Push the tracker down and in until you hear a click.
- Plug the charger into a USB port or wall adapter.
- Charge until at least three lights are on. This indicates a 60% charge.
Fitbit's own support page on the topic says the fitbit flex is water resistant, meaning splash and rain is okay, but it says you should not swim or shower wearing it. Even the slightly more water resistant Surge and Charge models are not meant to be submerged.
Charging fully takes about one to two hours. While the tracker charges, you can tap it to check the battery level.
