Most Samsung TVs have an option to set a 4 digit PIN to lock some of the settings and apps. Keep housemates or family members from changing your TV settings by changing the PIN - just see the steps below. The generic PIN for Samsung TVs is 0000 - or four zeros.
Solution #1 – Using an APK File
- On your Samsung Smart TV, launch the browser.
- Search for the apksure website.
- Look for the third party app that you want to install.
- Click the downloadable apk file.
- Click Install.
- Click Install again to confirm.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the apk file on your Smart TV.
Select OK.

- 4 Select Wireless from the Network types.
- 5 Select your Wi-Fi network.
- 6 Enter the password for your Wi-fi network and Select Done.

Use a phone or a computer to navigate to the account retrieval page on the Samsung website. Select the Reset password tab, and enter your email or phone number associated with your Samsung account. Then, select NEXT. An email will be sent to your inbox; follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
Lock up the television
- Screw a heavy-duty cable (similar to those on bike locks) into the back of your TV.
- Add access caps over the screws to prevent a thief from simply unscrewing the cable from your TV.
- Lock the cable loops ends together with a padlock, securing the TV to the wall mount.
Select Network Settings and proceed with SetUp. There should be an option for Maximum Volume Level.
Select the app you would like to lock. Then click down on the menu using the remote and select lock. You will be asked to type in your pin. 4.

You can lock channels you don't want your children to view. Lock is only available with Channel Lock set to On. Navigate to the Edit Channel screen, select the channels you wish to lock, press B the green button, and then enter the password. This locks the selected channels.
On the Settings page of the Web Browser, navigate to Parental Control and click it. Under the Parental Lock head, select Use. and set your PIN. Now click on the Set PIN button and enter your PIN.
