If you have no use for this feature, you can easily disable and remove the Task View icon or button from the taskbar. Simply right-click anywhere on the taskbar and uncheck the Show Task View button. It's so simple!
Press Windows Key+F and provide feedback. You can click Manage in Timeline while you see Top Apps and then right click on that document to remove.
Select Start , then select Settings > Privacy > Activity history. Under Clear activity history, select Clear.
By default, Windows 10 has the Task View button enabled on the taskbar to the right of the search button. (If you don't see it, right-click the taskbar, then click Show Task View Button.) You can also activate Task View by pressing Win + Tab on your keyboard.
How to configure Timeline in Windows 10
- Open the settings app.
- Navigate to System > Multitasking.
- Look for Timeline, and toggle off “show suggestions occasionally in Timeline”.

Open File Explorer if the icon represents an actual folder and you want to remove the icon from the desktop without deleting it. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, and then press the "X" key.
Reset and Clear Taskbar Pinned Apps in Windows 10
- Click/tap on the Download button below to download the . bat file below, then run it.
- If prompted, click/tap on Run.
- You will now notice your screen flicker as explorer is restarted.
- All pinned apps on your taskbar will now be reset and cleared.
Right-click an icon you would like to delete and click "Delete" to delete the icon. To delete multiple icons at once, click one icon, hold down your "Ctrl" key and click additional icons to select them.
Switch to the “Windows 10 Settings” tab using the header menu of the application. Make sure to enable the “Customize Taskbar” option, then choose “Transparent.” Adjust the “Taskbar Opacity” value until you're satisfied with the results. Click on the OK button to finalize your changes.
Delete a Pin
- Open the Pinterest app on your device and log into your Pinterest account.
- Tap your profile picture at the bottom-right of your screen.
- Tap on a board.
- Tap on a Pin to open it.
- Tap the ellipsis icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Tap Edit Pin.
- Tap Delete at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Two Fixes - Quick Access Not Working/Responding, Crashing All the Time
- Step 1: Launch File Explorer, click on View > Options > Change folder and search options.
- Step 2: Uncheck the two options "Show recently used files in Quick Access" and "Show frequently used folders in Quick Access" under Privacy.
How to Use Quick Access in Windows 10
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to the folder that you want to pin to Quick Access.
- Select that folder by clicking on it.
- Click the Home tab on the Ribbon. The Home tab is shown.
- In the Clipboard section, click the Pin to Quick Access button. The selected folder is now listed in Quick Access.
Steps to Pin or Unpin Folders from Quick access in Windows 10
- Select one or more folders.
- Click on Home Tab.
- Select Pin to Quick Access.
- If you want to unpin any folder from Quick Access, open File Explorer.
- Now go to Quick Access, select the folder, right click and go to Unpin from Quick Access.

Simply launch File Explorer, and the Quick Access section appears right off the bat. You'll see your most frequently used folders and most recently used files at the top of the left and right panes. By default, the Quick Access section is always in this location, so you can jump to the top to view it.
