Create custom icons for files or folders on Mac
- On your Mac, copy the picture you want to use to the Clipboard.
- Select the file or folder whose icon you want to replace, then choose File > Get Info.
- At the top of the Info window, click the picture of the icon, then choose Edit > Paste.
Change wallpapers
- On your phone's Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- Tap Wallpapers.
- Pick your wallpaper. To use your own image, tap My photos. To use a default image, tap an image.
- At the top, tap Set wallpaper.
- Choose where you want this wallpaper to show.
Change the wallpaper on your iPhone
- Open Settings on your iPhone. Go to Settings, tap Wallpaper, then tap Choose a New Wallpaper.
- Choose an image. Choose an image from Dynamic, Stills, Live, or one of your photos.
- Move the image and choose a display option. Drag to move the image.
- Set the wallpaper and choose where you want it to show up.
Use the Command Key

- Launch Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap on Wallpaper.
- Tap on Choose a New Wallpaper.
- Tap on the type of wallpaper you want to use.
- Select an image to go into Preview mode.
One way to right click on a Mac is to press the Ctrl (or Control) key when you tap the mouse button, or the trackpad. Don't confuse the Ctrl key with the Alt (or Option) key. The Ctrl key on a Mac is not the one next to the space bar, it's at the far end of the keyboard, on either the right or left side.
How to Change iPad Wallpaper and Grab Images from the Web
- Tap on the picture you have chosen.
- Tap on Use As Wallpaper.
- Drag the photo to pan it or pinch it to zoom in or out.
- Tap Set Wallpaper.

Changing the Wallpaper Background in iOS
- Open the “Photos” app and browse to the picture you want to set as the background wallpaper image.

- Tap on the “Use as Wallpaper” button option.
- Arrange the picture as desired, then click on “Set”
To change your desktop background and thus your lock screen, Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver. Also note that, as you probably know, your Mac has two screens: The lock screen and the log-in screen. This will change the login screen, the screen you type your password.
In the Safari app on your Mac, do any of the following: Change the items in the toolbar: Choose View > Customize Toolbar, then add, remove, and rearrange toolbar items by dragging them. Show or hide the toolbar in full-screen view: While in full-screen view, choose View > Always Show Toolbar in Full Screen.
Once you have a Safari window up, click on the icon that looks like a small gear box at the top-right side of the screen. This will bring up a drop-down menu, and from the options displayed, select “Preferences” to open your Safari Preferences. Look for the Appearance pane of Safari Preferences.
Select Safari>View>Customize Toolbar> and balance your selections to center the address bar. Move your actions to the right/left of the address bar, and or add "Flexible Space" to center the address bar.
Others users unable to change or set a homepage in Safari have found first restarting in Safe Mode (restart and then hold down the Shift key at startup), and then restarting normally restored their ability to choose a homepage.
To display the menu bar in Safari for Windows, select the Settings gear in the top-right corner of the browser window, then select Show Menu Bar. Once the menu bar is enabled, you can find all of its submenus including File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Window, and Help.
If you're on an Android device, the process is slightly different. Open the three-dot menu, then tap Settings > General > Home > Homepage > Custom, and enter in the field. Make sure the switch next to new tabs is turned on if you want you want Google to appear in each new tab.
Safari is the default web browser for the Mac operating system. As with most Mac applications, Safari does not include support for themes and the user interface can only be changed when making systemwide theme changes. However, that does not mean you cannot change the look and feel of Safari.
Choose your homepage
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More .
- Select Settings.
- Under "Appearance," check the box Show Home button.
- Below "Show Home button," click Change to choose your homepage.
Save and download images you find
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to images.google.com or open the Google app .
- Search for an image.
- Tap the image. A larger version opens.
- Touch and hold the image.
- Tap Download image.
