How to connect an Android phone to your car with Bluetooth
- Step 1: Initiate paring on your car's stereo. Start the Bluetooth pairing process on your car's stereo.
- Step 2: Head into your phone's setup menu.
- Step 3: Select Bluetooth Settings submenu.
- Step 4: Select your stereo.
- Step 5: Enter PIN.
- Step 6: Enjoy your music.
For Android phones, go to Settings > System > Advanced> Reset Options > Reset Wi-fi, mobile & Bluetooth. For iOS and iPadOS device, you'll have to unpair all of your devices (go to Setting > Bluetooth, select the info icon and and choose Forget This Device for each device) then restart your phone or tablet.
There are several Bluetooth module adapters available even for older Mercedes-Benz cars going as far back as 2003. You must have a UHI connector in order to install a Mercedes Bluetooth Adapter. The UHI connector is found in MB cars made 2005 onwards.
Connect using BluetoothGo to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for about 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on. Check the manual that came with your car for more information on how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display.
- Press the “DISC” button until Audio appears on the screen's menu.
- Select “Audio” from the menu using the control knob. A drop down menu should appear.
- Scroll to the bottom of the drop down menu and select “AUX”.
- Hold down “DISC” button until CD or CD/MP3 appears on screen.
- AUX option should now appear.

To get to the Bluetooth audio screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “DISC” key on the radio or select “Audio”. Select “Audio” again and select “Bluetooth audio” or press the “DISC” key several times until you see the following screen. Select "BT audio" located in the lower left corner.
You should first make sure Bluetooth is turned on and try connecting your device in the Bluetooth settings. If your iPhone still won't connect to Bluetooth, you can try deleting other devices from Bluetooth settings, updating your iOS software, resetting your network settings, or restarting your iPhone entirely.
The LCD, set into the center dash, has the usual functions, such as navigation, climate, entertainment, and telephone. But Mercedes-Benz continues to be stubborn in its cell phone integration; the car has Bluetooth, but you can't use it to make calls.
All 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class model vehicles come standard with the Bluetooth Connectivity function.
Step 1: Pair a Bluetooth accessory
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Touch and hold Bluetooth .
- Tap Pair new device. If you don't find Pair new device, check under "Available devices" or tap More. Refresh.
- Tap the name of the Bluetooth device you want to pair with your device.
- Follow any on-screen instructions.
De-authorizing (de-registering) a Bluetooth® device
- In the Bluetooth® device list, select the authorized device by turning. the COMAND controller.
- Select Options by sliding the COMAND controller and press. to confirm.
- Select De-authorize and press. to confirm.
- Select Yes or No and press. to confirm.
