Licensure by Endorsement is for applicants who have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and hold an active license in another state. Applicants must have your NPTE score report transferred from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT),
Lifetime limit – candidates will be able to take the examination a maximum of six (6) times. An individual can take the NPTE for PTs six times and also take the NPTE for PTAs six times if he or she is otherwise qualified to do so.
You can sit for the NPTE prior to graduation if you are in the final semester of your physical therapy education. Please have your school send an official transcript directly to the Board office. We will not accept a letter from your school as to your status; the official transcript is required.
