Scan a QR code
- From the home screen, tap Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan.
- Use your iPhone camera to scan the QR code.
- If you're asked to enter a confirmation code to activate the eSIM, enter the number provided with the QR code.
To switch eSIMs, tap Settings,
tap either Cellular or Mobile Data, and then tap the plan you want to use. Then tap Turn On This Line.
Enter the information manually
- Go to Settings.
- Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap Add Cellular Plan.
- Tap Enter Details Manually, at the bottom of your iPhone screen.
All kinds of phones are vulnerable, including both iPhones and Android devices. Simjacker even works on embedded SIM cards (eSIMs).
Dual eSIM support means that the ‌iPhone 13‌ models can use two eSIMs simultaneously rather than just one eSIM and one nano-SIM. The ‌iPhone 13‌ models still support eSIM and nano-SIM, but also support two eSIMs for adopting carrier plans without a physical SIM card.
If you're an Enterprise customer, you can use an esim if you have a compatible phone. You can request an esim pack using My O2 Business, or by calling your customer service helpdesk. We'll send you an esim voucher with a QR code, which you'll need to scan using your phone's camera. You'll also need a wifi connection.
In the US, AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless support eSIM. Away from the traditional carriers, "global mobile network" Truphone has started selling eSIM data plans.
According to their support site, once the eSIM is removed, which is what we did, it cannot be recovered (it's as if we took the physical SIM card out and threw it out). The carrier has to install a new one. In other words, a new QR code is required which will come with the new eSIM number.
For Android:
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager.
- Select a plan on eSIM that you want to remove.
- Toggle the swith to disable the eSIM.
- Tap Remove.

eSIM is better than physical SIM cards for a number of reasons: –eSIM is small: This not only allows extra room for other components, or perhaps a larger battery, it also enables manufacturers to rejig the internal layout of their devices.
Disable SIM card using Android's built-in option
- First of all, go to "Settings".
- Now click "Dual SIM settings" option.
- Under Enabled/disable SIM cards section, switch off the button next to the SIM card you wants to disable. (
Re: Reactivate eSIM card on the same deviceIf you do delete the eSIM, then it will require purchasing a new one (new QR code to download it). The same does apply if you change phone, eSIMs cannot be transferred between devices.
If you need to erase your eSIM, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap the plan you want to erase.
- Tap Remove Cellular Plan.
I can't find a way to just have a one click sboftcut to turn off one of you sim cards, but if you go into settings > sim cards, you can switch either sim on/off.
I found the option buried under Mobile Data Settings. There is an option which states "Turn On this line". Toggle this ON/OFF to turn off the network. This works for both Physical SIM and eSim.
Drawbacks or disadvantages of eSIM
➨When mobile phone breaks, it is easy to transfer data to the new phone in case of SIM card. It is not possible with eSIM card as it is embedded in the motherboard of the mobile phone. ➨There is possibility of hacking eSIM card data from cloud hosting.Step 1: Convert your Physical SIM to eSIM or existing eSIM to eSIM. 2. eSIM and SIM can be used in parallel on the same device. This means that at the same time a physical card and one of the numbers on eSIM will work. The new device can be automatically configured to the previous number by registering it in your mobile account. eSIM allows you to remotely configure any gadget.
eSIM for Prepaid customers using Android devices is not available at this time. Can I keep my current rate plan when I move to eSIM? Yes! When you activate a new line of service for your smartphone's eSIM, you will have the same rate plan choices you would for a physical SIM.
An eSIM makes it much easier to switch mobile networks. Instead of needing to order a new SIM, waiting for it to arrive, then inserting it into your phone, you can switch to a different network with a phone call or online. You also won't need to go hunting for a SIM 'ejector tool' to remove the old SIM from your phone.
How do I find my eSIM IMEI number on an Android phone?

In the case of phones with a SIM tray on the side or top of the Android handset, a SIM-ejector tool or bent paperclip can be used to pop the tray out. Once again, we recommend you turn the phone off before you begin the process of replacing the SIM with the new chip.
