A UNC path can be used to access network resources, and MUST be in the format specified by the Universal Naming Convention. A valid UNC path MUST contain two or more path components. <servername> is referred to as the "first pathname component", <share> as the "second pathname component", and so on.
A UNC path uses double slashes or backslashes to precede the name of the computer. The path (disk and directories) within the computer are separated with a single slash or backslash, as in the following examples. Note that in the DOS/Windows example, drive letters (c:, d:, etc.) are not used in UNC names.

This uses ports 137 to 139, and 445. These ports are used when installing clients via Remote Install and when clients send quarantined files to the server using the UNC path. This uses HTTP port 8082 and HTTPS port 4345.
Open Windows Explorer and find the photo (or document) in question. Hold down the Shift key, then right-click the photo. In the context menu that appears, find and click Copy as path. This copies the file location to the clipboard.
A path is either relative or absolute. An absolute path always contains the root element and the complete directory list required to locate the file. For example, /home/sally/statusReport is an absolute path. For example, joe/foo is a relative path.

From the sub-menu, select the 'Short UNC path' or the 'Long UNC Path', whichever you need and the path will be copied to the clipboard.
UNC names identify network resources using a specific notation. These names consist of three parts: a host device name, a share name, and an optional file path.

UNC: Is the symbol for Unified coarse pitch threads. UNF: Is the symbol for Unified fine pitch threads. UNEF: Is the symbol for United extra fine pitch threads. As an example, a 1/4"-20UNC thread has a 1/4" major diameter, with 20 threads per inch (TPI) and is a UNC coarse pitch thread.
Unc is short for uncle, just like mom or dad. It's not endearing like mommie or daddy or auntie.
In a network, the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) is a way to identify a shared file in a computer without having to specify (or know) the storage device it is on.
(Universal Naming Convention) A standard for identifying servers, printers and other resources in a network, which originated in the Unix community. A UNC path uses double slashes or backslashes to precede the name of the computer. are not used in UNC names.
If you are using the Unified Thread Series, it is easy to tell the threads major diameter, threads per inch (TPI) and if the thread is coarse or fine pitch from the thread specification. As an example, a 1/4"-20UNC thread has a 1/4" major diameter, with 20 threads per inch (TPI) and is a UNC coarse pitch thread.
UNC x Jordan. Jordan Brand and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels have a long history of greatness.
¼ -20 – UNC -3B –LH means this is a ¼ inch diameter thread with 20 thread per inch, manufactured in accordance with Unified National Coarse Standard. 7/8 – 20 – UNEF -2B stands for internal normal precision thread with a diameter of 7/8 inch and 20 threads per inch, which is Unified National Extra Fine Standard.
