How do I create macros?
- Using the keyboard that you want to configure, start Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.
- Select a key in the Key Settings List.
- In the list under the key that you want to reassign, select Macro.
- Click Create a new Macro.
- In the Name box, type the name of the new macro.
Razer keyboards feature a 'Gaming Mode' that allows the deactivation of the Windows key, as well as the 'Alt+Tab' and 'Alt+F4' combo for specific applications, preventing them from being pressed accidentally during games, so you don't get 'bounced back' to the desktop at critical moments.

Hypershift Hypershift mode is a secondary set of key assignments that is activated when the Hypershift key is held down. By default, the Hypershift key is assigned to the FN key of your Razer Synapse 3 supported keyboard however, you can also assign any key as a Hypershift key.
S is for scroll lock. C is for caps lock. There should be a scroll lock key above the arrow keys, that'll turn it back off.
A macro recorder is a piece of software that records user actions for playback at a later time. The main advantage of using a macro recorder is that it allows a user to easily perform complex operations much faster and with less effort without requiring custom computer programming or scripting.
Step 1: Connect your Razer device to the USB port of your computer. Step 2: Install Razer Synapse when prompted* or download the installer from Step 3: Create your Razer ID or login to Synapse with your existing Razer ID.

Scroll Lock is a toggling lock key on the keyboard, just like the Caps Lock key. Once pressed, Scroll Lock is enabled. To use the arrow keys to move between cells, you must turn Scroll Lock off.
Using your Synapse 3-compatible Razer keyboard, navigate to and click on the “Lighting” tab. From the “Lighting” tab, you can control brightness (or turn the backlight off completely), set energy-saver modes, and select “Quick Effects” for a preview of the types of light shows you can encounter.
The Scroll Lock key was meant to lock all scrolling techniques, and is a remnant from the original IBM PC keyboard, though it is not used by most modern-day software. When the Scroll Lock mode was on, the arrow keys would scroll the contents of a text window instead of moving the cursor.
A "macro" is an automated set of instructions (i.e. multiple keystrokes or mouse clicks) that can be executed using a simple action such as a single keystroke. Once a macro is named and created, you can then assign the macro to any of your Razer Synapse 3-enabled products.
The F9 key will initiate on-the-fly macro recording and the F10 key will put the keyboard into its "gaming mode", which essentially disables some of the keyboard's functions like the Windows key. By holding down the FN key and then pressing the Pause button, you can put your computer into sleep.

The Lighting Tab is where you can adjust the keyboard backlight by using the BRIGHTNESS slider. The Gaming Mode Tab allows you to customize which keys to disable when Gaming Mode is activated. Depending on your settings, you may choose to disable the Windows key, Alt + Tab and Alt + F4.

Razer Cynosa
- Unplug the Cynosa.
- Press and hold the “Escape” button (Esc), “Caps Lock” button (Caps), and Space Bar.
- Plug-in the Cynosa to a USB port.
- Release all keys.
To assign macros in Razer Synapse 3:
- Plug your Razer Synapse 3-enabled product into your computer.
- Open Razer Synapse 3 and select “MACRO” from the top row.
- Click the plus (+) icon to add a new macro profile.
- We suggest renaming each macro for quick identification.
- Select the macro to start adding input sequences.
By default, the Hypershift key is assigned to the FN key of your Razer Synapse 3 supported keyboard however, you can also assign any mouse button as a Hypershift key. Sidebar Clicking the Sidebar button ( ) will reveal all current button assignments for your Razer Naga Trinity.
To use Razer
Hypershift, hold down the programmed button and click on the other button with the secondary command.

Unfortunately, we currently don't have a Razer Keyboard that has onboard memory. Having said that, changing profile lighting on your Razer Ornata Chroma needs Razer Synapse.
By default, the Hypershift key is assigned to the FN key of your Razer Synapse 3 supported keyboard however, you can also assign any key as a Hypershift key.
If you wish to clean under the key caps, Razer suggests holding the unit upside down and/or using compressed air from a can. We do not recommend removing the keycaps from your mechanical switches. We suggest unplugging the device from your computer before cleaning.
