On a Roku
- Open the "XFINITY Stream Beta" channel on your Roku device.
- Select Get Started using the Roku remote.

User experience. When it comes to user experience, the Xfinity Stream app features most of the functionality you would expect — you can search, watch shows and movies as well as find on-demand content to enjoy. You can't use the app to record Flex content.
Make sure WiFi is on in your device settings. Make sure your device is connected to your Xfinity home network and not the Xfinity WiFi network or another wireless network by accident. Restart your device, open the Xfinity Stream app, and see if the app recognizes that you're connected to your home network.

The Xfinity Stream app is available in beta on Roku devices as well as some Samsung and LG smart TVs, though you must be connected to your home Xfinity internet to use it. The app is not available on Apple TV or Fire TV but if you use a PC, you can use screen sharing to get Xfinity on your TV in a pinch.
