Dial *67. This code will block your number so that your call shows up as an "Unknown" or "Private" number. Enter the code before the number that you're dialing, like so: *67-408-221-XXXX.

Starting a Call
- When the person you are calling is someone you know well, start by saying “Hello!” Use his/her first name, give your own first name, where you are calling from and ask how the other person is:

To be able to create this conference call, your mobile carrier MUST support 3-way conference calling. Without this, the “merge calls” button will not work and TapeACall will not be able to record. Simply give your mobile carrier a call and ask them to enable 3-Way Conference Calling on your line.

To make a three-way call from your Android smartphone:

Apple advises that conference calls (merging calls) may not be available if you are using VoLTE (Voice over LTE). If VoLTE is currently enabled, then it may help to turn it off: Go to: Settings > Mobile / Cellular > Mobile / Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE - turn Off or Data Only.
Only the meeting organizer can see your number. The meeting owner sees each participant's original number, but everyone else sees asterisks in place of the last three digits.
