An astronaut can choose from many types of foods such as fruits, nuts, peanut butter, chicken, beef, seafood, candy, brownies, etc. Available drinks include coffee, tea, orange juice, fruit punches and lemonade. As on Earth, space food comes in disposable packages.
A Maximum Absorbency Garment (MAG) is an adult-sized diaper with extra absorption material that NASA astronauts wear during liftoff, landing, and extra-vehicular activity (EVA) to absorb urine and feces. It is worn by both male and female astronauts. Nonetheless, the garment provides peace of mind for the astronauts.
A spacesuit protects astronauts from those extreme temperatures. Spacesuits supply astronauts with oxygen to breathe while they are in the vacuum of space. The suits contain water to drink during spacewalks. They protect astronauts from being injured from impacts of small bits of space dust.
Like so many other facilities at the Florida spaceport, the suit room where NASA astronauts Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken currently are putting on their spacesuits is awash in history.

An aspirant has to be a permanent citizen of India to be eligible to become an Astronaut in India. Any male or female permanent resident of India is eligible to become an Astronaut in India and there is no (not yet known) age eligibility criteria that an aspirant has to satisfy to become an Astronaut.
When astronauts are not in the space suit and floating about, the fart smell is exaggerated by the lack of airflow from the recycled air used and its inability to mask any smell. As per your second question on the ability to thrust about in space from a fart, this is very near impossible.
Today, astronauts at the International Space Station go to the bathroom into a little plate-sized toilet hole, and a fan vacuum sucks their excrement away and a separate funnel equipped with a fan suction their pee away.
Fun fact: What does space smell like? In a 2012 article published in the Atlantic, astronauts describe being met with a peculiar smell after removing their helmets following a spacewalk. That smell has been described as “seared steak,” “hot metal” and “welding fumes.”
NASA astronauts wear white suits, since white is the color that reflects the most sunlight in space, and protects them from cancer-causing solar radiation. When they first launch though, astronauts wear orange instead, since the bright color makes it easier for them to be spotted and rescued in an emergency.
According to NASA, civilian astronauts are awarded a pay grade of anywhere from GS-11 to GS-14, so the income range is relatively wide. Starting salaries begin at just over $66,000 a year. Seasoned astronauts, on the other hand, can earn upward of $144,566 a year.
Astronauts need space suits to stay alive. You could only last 15 seconds without a spacesuit — you'd die of asphyxiation or you'll freeze. If there's any air left in your lungs, they will rupture.
Doing the laundryIt is impossible to wash clothes on board the ISS ! Quite simply, it would take too much water. The astronauts therefore wear their clothes until they are too dirty and then throw them out. All ISS waste burns up in the atmosphere on re-entry.
The outside layer is made of Nomex, Kevlar, and Teflon. These are the same kinds of materials used in a bulletproof vest, even though the space suit is not bulletproof. It protects against micrometeoroid impacts in space.
