Cornwall's magical Land's End headland is Britain's most south-westerly point and one of the world's most famous landmarks. From the breathtaking 200ft-high granite cliffs you can see the Isles of Scilly and, beyond that, the Atlantic Ocean and North America.
The view from Land's End is stunning. As you stand atop towering granite cliffs that rise 200 feet up and out of the Atlantic Ocean, you can see all the way to Longships Lighthouse, the Isles of Scilly (which are twenty eight miles away) and even all the way to portions of North America.
Land's End is the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and
England. However, it is not the westernmost point on mainland Great Britain, as this title narrowly goes to Corrachadh Mòr in the Scottish Highlands.
