The plural of Jones is Joneses, -es being added as an indicator of the plurality of a word of which the singular form ends in s, as in dresses or messes. The apposition of the much misused apostrophe to the word Jones does not pluralize it.
Unlike singular possessives, which take an apostrophe followed by an S, plural possessives take an apostrophe alone. So if you're going to the home of the Smiths, you're going to the Smiths' house.
The truth is that Chris takes just an apostrophe only if you follow the rules in the The Associated Press Stylebook. In other style guides, Chris takes an apostrophe and an s: Chris's. Form the possessive of singular nouns and abbreviations by adding an apostrophe and an s.
The Smith's (with an apostrophe before the s) is the possessive of "Smith" and indicates one person ownership. The Smiths' (with an apostrophe after the s) is plural possessive and means the possession of more than one "Smith" of something (see Rule 2 below) like "The Smiths' house is white."
The name Williams is tougher because it ends with s. Names (and all other nouns, for that matter) that end in sibilants (that is, the sounds s, sh, ch, z, or x) are made plural by the addition of es. Thus the name Williams in its plural form is Williamses.
Merry Christmas is always capitalized because Christmas points to a particular day and hence is a proper noun. The accompanying adjective is also a part of the command.
Season's Greetings is correct! Proper nouns like "Christmas" should always be capitalized, but the word "merry" should only be capitalized if you're starting the line with the greeting "Merry Christmas." If "merry" falls in the middle of a sentence, it should not be capitalized.
When signing your holiday cards, ensure that your closing phrase (such as “Sincerely,” “Love,” or “Best Wishes”) is followed by a comma. The comma should separate the closing phrase from the signature, which is your name, or a combination names.

Signing Greeting Cards
- Traditionally, when signing a card from you and your spouse, the woman's name would appear first and then her husband's.
- When signing Christmas cards or other greeting cards from the entire family, the father's name should appear first, followed by the mother's and then the children's.
For most last names: Just add an “s”Not “es;” not “ies;” and definitely no apostrophe. If your name ends in any letter except s, x, or z, you just add an “s.” (There are also certain exceptions for “ch” and “sh” names, more on that below.)
Titles for a family: Use the family's last name to address your card if the card is intended for the entire family, i.e. write “The Smith Family”. Use professional titles. Always use professional titles when addressing your card to doctors, members of the clergy, or elected officials.
If the rule for the salutation holds in the closing, you would capitalize all 3, because "The" is the first word, "Obama" is a proper noun, and "Family" is a noun. Both the salutation and the second line of the closing are designed to indicate either the recipient or the sender of the letter.
