On your Facebook Page, go to settings, and you'll see these options: If you want to upload photos without allowing people to tag them, you have that option – and you can prevent people from tagging your Page altogether, if you want.

The difference between tags and hashtags

You always have the option of sending the person a message on Facebook. You can also look for the "Share" option to publish the content to your own Timeline. If the person posting content has a "Follow" option, consider following the person rather than friending them.
Facebook's tagging feature has come a long way. For now, users can only still tag friends and pages in the original content of a post on Facebook. However, now Facebook users can tag other Facebook users who have commented on a public post, even if the other user is not your friend on Facebook.
To control this, go to your Facebook Privacy Setting menu from the top right corner of your Facebook page. In the Privacy Settings page, scroll down to the Timeline and Tagging section and click on Edit Settings. A popup window will appear, click on the Review posts friends tag you.. section.

How to stop Facebook from auto-tagging you in photos

- Begin a post or a comment on another post, photo, or video.

You can also remove tags from multiple posts at once:
- Go to your activity log.
- Click Photos in the left column.
- Click to check the box to the left of the posts you'd like to remove a tag from.
- Click Report/Remove Tags at the top of the page.
- Click Untag Photos to confirm.
Makes the post more visible because it appears in the news feed and timeline of the friend or Page you tagged (if the person has set the post to be visible to friends or public).
Your Tagged Photos
Click the "Privacy Preferences" option to adjust your privacy settings. Place a check in the box next to "Let friends of people tagged in my photos and posts see them" to allow friends of friends to access photos uploaded by you. Click the "Customize settings" link.Anyone who can see the comment (and the post it's attached to) can also see the 'mention', which is analogous to a tag on a main post. However, you're the only person who would get a 'notification', so otherwise it would be catch-as-catch-can as to whether other people would actually see it.
