Using the mouse:
- Drag each window to the corner of the screen where you want it.
- Push the window's corner against the screen corner until you see an outline.

- Repeat for all four corners.
- Select the window you wish to move.
- Hit Windows Key + Left or Right.
View and compare documents side by side
- Open both of the files that you want to compare.
- On the View tab, in the Window group, click View Side by Side. Notes: To scroll both documents at the same time, click Synchronous Scrolling. in the Window group on the View tab.
Use two apps at once ("split screen")
- Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the top. If you see All Apps , tap it.
- Open an app.
- From the bottom of your screen, swipe up to the middle.
- Touch and hold the app's icon.
- Tap Split screen.
- You'll see two screens. In the second screen, tap another app.
To split your screen in Windows 10 with Snap Assist using the mouse:
- Open five windows and/or applications.
- Place your mouse on an empty area at the top of any open window, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the window to the left side of the screen, toward the center of that side.
- Let go of the mouse.
Side-by-Side
To place two windows next to each other on the screen you use the sides of the monitor. Locate the app window you want to pin to one side, use your mouse to drag it to the side of the screen until Windows 10 gives you a visual notification that it's ready to snap it into place and release the mouse button.Drag and drop
Tap the app switcher icon (it's usually a square on the right side of the navigation bar) and select the first app. Drag the app to the top of the screen to drop it into place. Once your first app is in place, simply tap the second app and it will appear in the bottom half of the screen.To give the edge a clean, water-tight finish, place a piece of masking tape one grout joint away from the edge of the last tile. Fill this gap between the tile and the masking tape with a smooth bead of caulk. This will finish the edge without extra tiles.
In order to arrange the windows just select two applications/windows (by holding the Ctrl key), right-click and then select Tile Vertically. If you want you may even Tile Horizontally.
To arrange the same window so both windows are again side by side, drag the window by the title bar and move it back to the left side of the screen until you see the transparent outline. Release the window, and both windows again appear side by side.

A user can either press Win+{Left,Right,Up,Down} to snap the window to the left or right or maximize or restore. One can also drag the title bar to all the corner except bottom one.To maximize a window, grab the titlebar and drag it to the top of the screen, or just double-click the titlebar. To maximize a window using the keyboard, hold down the Super key and press ↑ , or press Alt + F10 . To restore a window to its unmaximized size, drag it away from the edges of the screen.

Step 1: Access Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. Step 2: In the Taskbar settings, tap the down arrow (or the bar) on the right of Taskbar buttons, choose Always combine, hide labels, Combine when taskbar is full or Never combine, and then hit OK.
go to Start > Settings > System > Multitasking. Under Snap, turn off the third option which reads "When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it." Then restart your computer. After restart, it should now uses the whole screen.
How to Cascade Opened Windows in Windows 10
- Minimize any open windows that you don't want to cascade. Minimized windows are ignored by this function.
- Right-click an empty area of the taskbar to open its context menu. Here is how it looks.
- In the third group of commands from top, you will see the option "Cascade windows". Click it.
Press and hold the Shift key, right click on the grouped button (icon) on the taskbar that you want to do this with, release the Shift key, and click on Cascade.

- Right-click an open area of the taskbar, then choose Properties.
- In the Taskbar tab, find the Taskbar buttons pull-down menu.
- Choose Combine when taskbar is full or Never combine, then click OK.
