Expedited shipping involves giving a particular shipment priority over others, allowing it to be delivered faster. For many shipping service providers, this just means offering faster than normal shipping. In practice, this means using courier services such as same-day delivery, next-day delivery, and express delivery.
Even though freight crosses international waters on its way to the islands, shipping to Hawaii falls under domestic shipping, so there is no extra paperwork involved like there is with international shipping.
Unfortunately, UPS does not currently deliver on Sundays.However, there is a way to get around this. For urgent deliveries, you can use their Express Critical Care Packages service, which is an exclusive - expensive - service which you can request for time-sensitive shipments.
Shipping to Puerto Rico is a domestic service, but sometimes you need to list "Puerto Rico" in the country slot, and sometimes it's United States. Other than that, shipping to Puerto Rico is similar to shipping elsewhere, but it is more expensive.
Which is faster: UPS or USPS? UPS and USPS both offer overnight delivery, though according to Stamps.com, the average total delivery days for USPS Priority Mail was just 1.79 days while UPS Ground clocked in at 2.75 days, making USPS the better option when speed is a necessity.
Priority Mail Express is the fastest mail service offered by the Postal Service. It provides guaranteed 1-Day or 2-Day expedited service by 3 p.m. for any mailable matter and includes $100 of insurance coverage. Priority Mail Express delivery is offered 365 days a year in many locations.
Expedited shipping implies that the package will be sent via a fast courier service. Standard shipping is mostly for the less urgent items, while expedited shipping is meant for time sensitive goods. There are ground and tracked mail services, which can be slower than express courier delivery.
It depends. There's no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. If you're a casual online shopper who's not in a rush for the items to show up on their doorstep, expedited shipping probably isn't worth the extra cost. But there are many times paying the extra money is well worth it—even necessary.
USPS expedited shippingOne popular USPS mail type is their expedited shipping option called Priority Mail Express. They describe it as their “fastest domestic service.” Packages under 70 pounds ship overnight through Priority Mail Express starting at $24.70.
Priority Mail Express Flat Rate lets you ship packages up to 70 lbs to any state at the same price. Mail from Post Office™ locations or from your home or business with Click-N-Ship® service. Prices start at $26.35.
You'll have to ask the seller for the exact specifics. Priority Mail is an expedited shipping service used specifically by USPS. It can be faster than standard first-class mail depending, and is generally shipped with higher importance and typically comes with insurance.
Though standard shipping is a little faster than economy shipping, there isn't a big difference between the two services for domestic shipping. Both services offer package tracking and mostly, delivery times are anywhere between three-five business days to most states within the US.

For shipping packages less than two lbs., USPS is usually cheaper than Fedex. When it comes to shipping parcels greater than two lbs., FedEx can be more cost-effective than USPS, offering cheaper rates. However, if you can fit your item into a small, medium or large flat rate shipping box, USPS is cheaper than Fedex.
Why Choose FedEx Ground? FedEx Ground is faster to more locations than UPS Ground. Deliveries take between 1–5 days, with most packages arriving within 3 business days.
This depends on weight and size of the box along with the destination. If within zone 3, 4, or 5 it is usually cheaper to ship regional rate boxes. If zone 7 or 8 then flat rate boxes are usually cheaper. If in zone 1 or 2 it is usually cheaper to use your own box up to 2 pounds and regional rate boxes over that.
If you are shipping heavy items, use UPS Ground service. If you are shipping packages for overnight delivery, use FedEx Express. Use FedEx Ground for heavy packages that have a low budget. Call me biased, but I believe, based upon performance per deliveries, USPS is the most reliable.
USPS Priority Mail Express is a guaranteed way to send documents and packages to a destination overnight or in one to two days on any day of the year, including Sundays and holidays. If the US Postal Service doesn't deliver your package on time, they will refund the full delivery cost to you.

What time will I receive my shipment? The shipment has been dispatched to a UPS driver for delivery today. Other than time-definite air deliveries, shipments are generally delivered anytime between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. (and sometimes later) to residences, and by close of business for commercial addresses.

How Does Overnight Shipping Work? Shipments are booked during the day and transported throughout the night so that delivery can take place the following day. Typically, it takes one night and a few hours of the next day to have your package delivered.

Sometimes your package ships early. When it arrives at our facility, it is sorted to the correct delivery route and goes out on the delivery truck in the morning. Many times we get the package sooner than promised, but we don't routinely hold onto it for a particular delivery date.
