Shadowlands Pre-Patch Release DateThe Shadowlands pre-patch goes live October 13, 2020 in the US region and October 14, 2020 in the EU region. Blizzard is delaying Shadowlands and the new launch date has not been determined yet.
It is likely we will not see an official WoW Classic: The Burning Crusade release date until the late spring / early summer of 2021, presuming TBC is the answer to WoW Classic's future.
The first Classic WoW players have reached level 60 with the two new races implemented in the Burning Crusade Classic pre-expansion patch. Those two players—as well as the entire Classic WoW population—will be able to advance to level 70 when The Burning Crusade Classic officially launches on June 1.
Jewelcrafting is a new profession coming in the Burning Crusade pre-patch. While you cannot max out the profession in the pre-patch, or acquire gear with sockets, you can use the time during the pre-patch to level the profession to 300.
New talents and spell coming in TBC ClassicOne of the most anticipated changes for the pre-patch is the new talents and skills coming to most classes. For the pre-patch, every spec will get another two rows of talents in each tree, with most gaining a new final skill and improvements to the previous end talent.
Latest - Counting Down to the TBC Pre PatchThe pre patch will go live when servers return from their weekly maintenance on Tuesday, May 18 (Wednesday, May 19 in some regions) at 1am PDT/4am EST.
World of Warcraft is as known for its pre-patches as much as it is the expansions themselves. Pre-patches are Blizzard's way of giving players time to acclimate to an expansion's new features and mechanics - getting their feet wet before an expansion's full impact floods the community.
The pre-patch introduces the Shaman class to the Alliance and the Paladin class to the Horde via the new Draenei and Blood Elf races, improves the leveling experience for these new characters, and also offers a paid boost option for those looking to quickly gear up a new alt for TBC.
While the announcement of a delay was heartbreaking for the fans, Blizzard announced the Shadowlands pre-patch would be going live on Oct. 13. Blizzard didn't mention when exactly the full-release would take place later this year, but at least the fans will have the pre-patch to go through until then.
Update: Blizzard has announced that the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch release date is Tuesday, October 13. The expansion will no longer launch on October 27, being slated for "later this year".
Players can officially begin leveling their Blood Elf Paladins and Draenei Shaman in preparation for the launch of WoW Burning Crusade Classic on June 1.
Mounts to farm before World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
- Mighty Caravan Brutosaur. Let's start the list with the most expensive vendor mount in WoW (to date?).
- Uncorrupted Voidwing.
- Conqueror's Scythemaw.
- Glacial Tidestorm.
- Hivemind.
- Vicious White Warsaber/Vicious White Bonesteed.

One thing that's going to happen in Shadowlands is, we'll eventually shelve our Hearts of Azeroth and no longer have access to them or to the Azerite Traits that depends on them to work.
Blizzard has updated their PvP Medallion Trinkets in Shadowlands post to confirm that the first PvP talent slot, which offers the choice of anti-CC talents Adaptation, Gladiator's Medallion, or Relentless, will be removed is Shadowlands.
Three mounts will be unavailable in Shadowlands:
- The Lost Flight quest for killing Heroic N'Zoth, which awards the Uncorrupted Voidwing, will be removed on Shadowlands launch (patch 9.0.
- Keystone Master achievement for the Awakened Mindborer will be removed in the Shadowlands pre-patch (patch 9.0.
Leveling ChangesIn the Shadowlands expansion, players will have their level reduced to Level 50 and will have to level to Level 60 in the new areas. For players that wish to level from 1-50, there will be new zones for Level 1-10, followed by players being able to level from 10-50 in any expansion of their choosing.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands couldn't be pre-ordered without first purchasing Battle for Azeroth, yet with the pre-expansion patch you can now play the expansion for free (ish).
