Course Highlights. FSP students can apply after completing one core course. Students earn a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies.

JPME is usually divided into two phases: JPME Phase I consists of those joint learning objectives identified in the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Officer Professional Military Education Policy (OPMEP) that are required to be included in intermediate and senior level service college's curriculum; JPME Phase II
The Naval Command and Staff online program educates students on the fundamentals of U.S. national security policy, military strategy, and the relationship between them. The program is organized into five educational blocks and all blocks must be completed to earn Joint Professional Military Education Phase I credit.
Enlisted recruits head off to Boot Camp at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center north of Chicago, Illinois, near the western shore of Lake Michigan. While it's called Boot Camp, it's really a huge campus that includes both classroom and lots of hands-on training.
