Which One is Harder? Because the TEAS only has four categories it tests students on and the HESI A2 has nine, it might seem that the TEAS would be the easier test. The TEAS does take less time to complete than the HESI A2.
The HESI Entrance exam consists of exams on different academic topic areas such as: reading comprehension, vocabulary and general knowledge, grammar, math, biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and physics. There is also a section intended to help identify a candidate's personality and learning style.
The cost for an HESI exam will vary depending on the educational institution, as well as the specific version of the test being taken. HESI testing costs can range from around $40 to over $100. It is typically less expensive to test at a school's on-campus testing location than a Prometric testing center.
Some schools break down the year into two admission periods, and HESI test-takers are only allowed two attempts per admission period. Other schools limit the number of times that any person can take the HESI test to two or three attempts total.
The application for the program is due on the same day I'm scheduled to take the HESI. Will the results be ready in time for my application? Yes. The HESI A2 test can be taken only once every 60 days, and no more than 3 times in a 12-month period of time.
When to take the HESI® exam? Check with your school about when it is offered and when they think you should take the exam. You can only take the HESI® exam once in a 12 month period so make sure you take it at the right time for your school.

The TEAs is generally harder, and has more critical thinking questions, whereas the HESI is more of a standardized test and reminded me a lot more of taking the SAT right after high school.
