With longer workouts, Insanity will burn more calories. With Insanity you do a set of moves and rest before the next set. With Max 30 there is no rest. You warm up and then dive in and go as hard as you can for as long as you can.
The beauty of Insanity is you don't need any equipment for the workouts, as it relies on HIIT. Insanity's 60-minute max interval circuit session is known as one of the most grueling, as you'll be doing plenty of jumping lunges, planks, push-ups, and frog jumps, says AZCentral.com.
With Max 30 there is no rest. You warm up and then dive in and go as hard as you can for as long as you can. You track your progress by logging your "max out" time on each workout. The original Insanity workout is more of a traditional HIIT (high intensity interval training) program.
Real hard. Much of Max 30 is like the hardest parts of Insanity glued together without the cool down moves in between. And that's the point. The whole program is designed around you going for as long as you can, for as hard as you can, until you can't go any more (called "Maxing Out").
The main difference you'll notice in the workouts themselves is that Insanity Max 30 pushes you harder (both in the workouts and through Shaun T's style). In T25, Shaun T wants you to focus on good form (and not just go 100 m.p.h.). He still does a great job at motivating you, but he is nicer about it in T25.
Insanity is an hour-long workout, and done right, it can be amazingly intense…even more so than T25. It all comes down to how hard you're able to push yourself…and for how long. And in Insanity, there's not much room for modifying the intensity to suit your needs (more on that just below).
Insanity is all about aerobics. It will help you increase your cardiovascular fitness and lose weight/body fat. Strength: Yes. The max interval program will build strength and really challenge your muscles.
With this 60-day program, the goal is to “MAX OUT” with the challenging 30-minute workouts and push yourself to your limits. If you've been looking for something that gives you that CrossFit-like push from the comfort of your own home or gym, without the monthly cost involved with CrossFit, then this is a good option.
