The Queen Mary's First Class Swimming Pool has been closed to the public for over a year, due to "structural issues," but thanks to some craftily placed Lexan resin visitors can now see the swanky Art Deco swimming hole again. Yep, it now says: Swimming Pool. That's crystal clear.
Did the RMS Queen Mary Sink? The Queen Mary did not sink at any point during her career. She was responsible for the sinking of the HMS Curacoa in 1942 but the Queen Mary survived the war without sinking. The RMS Queen Mary is now a floating hotel located in Long Beach, California.

The ship was named after Mary of Teck, the wife of George V. The king died shortly before the ship's maiden voyage. Legend has it that Cunard wanted to name the ship Victoria, but after asking the king for permission to name the ship “after Britain's greatest queen”, he replied that his wife would be delighted.

After several years of decreased profits for Cunard Line, Queen Mary was officially retired from service in 1967. She left Southampton for the last time on 31 October 1967 and sailed to the port of Long Beach, California, United States, where she remains permanently moored.

Ocean liners have fallen out of favour in recent years due to the increase in cruise ships being built, but the experience of sailing on an ocean liner is still enjoyed by many people each year.
Covid: Cunard Queen Elizabeth cruises cancelled after crew test positive. The first five scheduled voyages on board the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship, after its pandemic shutdown, have been cancelled. It said a "small number" of positive cases of coronavirus had been identified among new crew boarding the ship last month
Originally built for the Cunard Line, Queen Elizabeth 2 was operated by Cunard as both a transatlantic liner and a cruise ship from 1969 to 2008. She was then laid up until converted and since 18 April 2018 has been operating as a floating hotel in Dubai.
All voyages after 18 October 2021 and on or before 9 March 2022 are now cancelled and will be replaced with new voyages. Queen Elizabeth's Summer at Sea voyages for UK guests will be sailing this summer and we are really excited to be able to welcome guests back on board at long last.

On board the Queen Mary 2, the dress code throughout the day is casual. Jeans and t-shirts are more than acceptable (even in the dining rooms for breakfast and lunch) and I found the vast majority of passengers to be dressed comfortably.
Ocean Liners are designed to undertake a line voyage, between point A and point B across a large expanse of open ocean (such as the transatlantic crossing between North America and Europe). Cruise Ships are typically designed to undertake pleasure voyages, closer to the coast, sailing between ports.
