Your culprit is either your yoyo loach or your betta. If your yoyo loaches are ever chasing away your guppies or bettas, then it's probably them. If your bettas tail is fine and it's just the guppies, your betta is most likely the aggressor.
Thanks. loaches NEED to be kept in a large tank and they sometimes will nip fins of bettas. i've kept female bettas with mine, but all loaches must be in a group of three or more, meaning a tank larger than 10 gallons. plus loaches like "footprint" tanks, the ones with the longer bottom.
I have kept guppies together with yo yo's before with no problem. A long as there is enough room, and hide out areas for the loaches , they should be fine.
Yoyo loach and tetras are compatible.
Yoyo, clown, kuhli all these popular loach speices will eat shrimp, snails
Weather Loaches are related to minnows and suckers, but most will agree that they look more eel-like with their elongated bodies. Some countries now have banned Weather Loaches because of the risk to aquatic ecosystems – permits are needed to keep a related species (Misgurnus fossilis) in England.
The warning says the invasive species can easily cause "environmental and economic harm" to the region. The aquarium sections of Petco and Petsmart sell plant life for fish tanks. These creatures are classified as an aquatic invasive species and can wreak havoc on the environment.
While fish do not sleep in the same way that land mammals sleep, most fish do rest. Research shows that fish may reduce their activity and metabolism while remaining alert to danger. Some fish float in place, some wedge themselves into a secure spot in the mud or coral, and some even locate a suitable nest.

Initially, aim for around one small fish per gallon of water, adding them in small groups every couple of weeks. Once the aquarium is mature and your skills are honed, you should be able to keep two neon-tetra-size fish per gallon. This does rather depend on your fishkeeping skills and the quality of the filter.

They are naturally predatory toward critters that live in or near the bottom such as snails and crustaceans. Like most fish, if it fits in their mouth (like a smaller fish) they are quite willing to eat it. Never combine fish that are such different sizes that the smaller could be eaten.
Cories are playful, happy guys, and are compatible with the gentler Loaches (that is, most Loaches, including Yoyos). I have Brochis splendens with Yoyos and Clowns, and they ignore each other. A well planted tank, with plenty of drift wood or rocks to make a few informal caves will help.
Registered. Yoyos do lie on their sides.
For a small group of adult Clown Loaches, you're going to need a tank that can hold 150 gallons of water or more. What is this? As a good rule of thumb, adults need about 30 gallons of space each.
Any snail that goes with my yoyos are gone in a week. Do not risk snails with Loaches. Even big snails can get harassed to death.
Most of the generally more peaceful Loaches can be mixed, as long as each of their needs are met: Water temperature: Loaches are all over the map here, so do your research. Water movement: Most Loaches thrive in more water movement that the average community tank, and some specialists want even more than that.
Cut off the top couple of inches of bottle, remove the cap, and shove it into the rest of the bottle backwards to make a funnel. Add food and set it near where the loaches hang out. Bottle traps work on just about anything that can fit in, aside from gudgeons (they hover right back out) and long-antennae pistol shrimp.
