Made to commemorate the 100th birthday of the RCMP, the Mint created hundreds of millions of quarters depicting a Mountie on horseback. Canadian silver dollars are among some of the rarest silver coins ever made. They are highly coveted by collectors and their values have generally risen over time. A combination of low mintages and lots of different varieties make these coins extremely collectible and valuable.
This 1 Canadian dollar piece, also known as 'loonie' features the image of HM Elizabeth II and a duck sized loon . The $1 CAD coin weighs 6.27 grams and measures 26.5mm across.
1967 marked the end of the silver dollar as a business strike, or a coin issued for circulation. After 1967, the dollar coin was made of nickel, except for non-circulating commemorative issues for the collector market, which continue to contain silver.
Most large size two-dollar bills issued from 1862 through 1918, are highly collectible and are worth at least $100 in well-circulated condition. Uncirculated large size notes are worth at least $500 and can go up to $10,000 or more.
He says Australia's “rarest circulating $2 coin” was one of two commemorative coins issued for Remembrance Day in 2012. “5.8 million of these 'Gold Poppy' coins were made. These are worth around $10 in uncirculated condition,” he said in the video.
The 2-dollar coin, or 'Toonie', as Canadians have named it, features the image of an adult polar bear in early summer on an ice floe. It was designed by wildlife and landscape artist Brent Townsend. The 2-dollar coin was first introduced on February 19, 1996, to replace the 2-dollar bill.

On March 29, 2012, the Canadian government announced that the 1¢ coin would be retired. The Royal Canadian Mint stopped producing 1¢ coins in May 2012, and in February 2013 the Bank of Canada stopped distributing them, but the coins remain legal tender.
The standard 1776-1976 clad half dollars in circulated condition are only worth their face value of $0.50. These coins only sell for a premium in uncirculated condition. The 1776-1976 S proof half dollar is worth around $4 in PR 65 condition.

The 1909 half dollar with no mint mark is worth around $15 in good condition. In very fine condition the value is around $85. In extremely fine condition the value is around $180. In uncirculated condition the price is around $450 for coins with an MS 60 grade.
