What I recommend is evolve your Nidorino sometime before level 23 and Nidoking will learn Thrash instead. Then you can teach it Earthquake and Sludge Bomb later. You'll probably find those TMs before Nidorino would get to level 43 anyway.
Depending on the gender of your Nidoran you're looking at an evolution into either Nidorino or Nidorina. You can use the Moon Stone on either Pokemon as soon as they evolve so you don't have to wait until Nidorino or Nidorina reach a higher level if you don't want to.

- Evolve it at level 22, getting Nidorino's Horn Attack and NidoKing's Thrash and Megahorn.
- Evolve it at level 43, getting Nidorino's Fury Attack and Flatter, and Nidoking's Megahorn.
- Evolve it anytime after level 53 for Nidorino's Horn Drill.
Thrash can only be learned at Level 23 by Nidoking. You cannot have both Thrash and Horn Drill in the same moveset UNLESS you use TM07 on Nidoking. So evolve Nidorino at Level 23 with the Moon Stone, and teach it Thrash. Then use TM07.
Nidoking does not learn Dig. His best set entering the Rock Tunnel is Bubblebeam, Thrash, and Thunderbolt. In any case, in Pokemon Yellow Nidoking is absolutely the best Pokemon for beating the game.
So evolve Nidorino at Level 23 with the Moon Stone, and teach it Thrash. Then use TM07.
You can catch a Nidorino in the Safari Zone, but it's always better to evolve one from a male Nidoran yourself. Horn Drill, which it learns at level 46 (41 in Blue/Red) is an insanely powerful technique. It actually takes out your opponent with one hit.
Thrash is a good move, but can confuse your Pokemon after being used a couple times. Not only that, but thrash is constantly used over and over again for a certain number of turns. In this case, if you wanted to use a different attack, you would have to wait out thrash. Outrage is the best choice.
User Info: Andrex_93. Provided the target's typing or ability doesn't interfere. For instance, Electric-types can't be paralyzed, and Pokemon with Insomnia can't be put to sleep.
Pokémon with the Ability Sturdy are immune to one-hit KO moves. In Max Raid Battles, one-hit KO moves can deplete two bars of strength from a mysterious barrier, but will otherwise always fail against Dynamax Pokémon.
The OHKO moves (such as Horn Drill) won't have any affect on a Dynamax Pokemon, except when they have a shield. It seems that moves that affect the held item, such as Knock Off and Bug Bite don't work as well. Also moves that affect the Pokemon's ability, such as Skill Swap will not work.
One-hit knockout move
- One-hit knockout moves (Japanese: ?????? one-hit knockout move), commonly abbreviated as one-hit KO moves or OHKO moves, are moves that cause the target to immediately faint, regardless of its current HP.
- One-hit KO moves deal damage so that the target faints.
2 Answers. Nope Not Lock-on and A OHKO move. But Articuno is able to learn Mind Reader and Sheer Cold.
When used in a Max Raid Battle against a Dynamax Pokémon while it is under the effect of a mysterious barrier, Sheer Cold will deplete two bars of the barrier's strength. Otherwise, Sheer Cold will always fail against Dynamax Pokémon.
Yes, you can poison, paralyze, or apply any other status change to the Raid Boss; however they can cure themselves, and the Barrier applied by 3 star raids and above will prevent Status effects from landing.
re: Sheer Cold
if you want it to have 100% accuracy, get articuno and raise it to level 85 to learn it sheer cold. keep mind reader and get sheer cold. then get it level 100.To make Max Raid battles easier, follow these simple steps. In solo Max Raids, your NPC trainers will always join at 70% of your current level. If you're Level 100, NPC trainers will be Level 70. That's the highest level they can be, and more levels make these battles much easier to complete.
It will never go higher than 80-90 percent, but at least the hit rate is higher. And no, hail doesn't affect it whatsoever. if you want it to have 100% accuracy, get articuno and raise it to level 85 to learn it sheer cold. keep mind reader and get sheer cold.
Drill Run (Japanese: ??????? Drill Liner) is a damage-dealing Ground-type move introduced in Generation V. It is TM58 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
Because they are Normal attacks, neither can affect Ghost Pokémon. Fissure can KO Ghosts, but it can't affect Flying Pokémon (due to its Ground type).

While Lock-On prevents the user's move from missing if it targets the affected Pokémon, it does not prevent its target being changed by move-drawing moves and Abilities.

Sheer Cold (Japanese: ??????? Absolute Zero) is an Ice-type one-hit knockout move introduced in Generation III.
Lapras can learn the most one-hit KO moves of any Pokémon (excluding Smeargle), being able to learn Sheer Cold, Fissure, and Horn Drill.
It was Magikarp's signature move to emphasis how pathetic it is until evolution. re: What is the point of Splash? If you use Splash 100 times in a row (through the use of ethers and elixers) Pokemon Master Red will show you how to get to a castle, and in that castle you can catch the Legendary Pokemon Mewthree!
When Splash is used, absolutely nothing happens — the move does not deal any damage, nor does it cause any status effects. However, that is seemingly going to change for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, with Splash to become possibly one of the best moves in the games.
Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it. Magikarp is virtually useless in battle as it can only splash around. As a result, it is considered to be weak.

| Double Kick Learnt at Lv.10 | 30 | 100 |

| Bite Learnt at Lv.17 | 60 | 100 |
What is the point of Protect? For 1v1 battles, it good for stalling so your Leftovers (or other healing items) will heal you without you getting hurt. It is also useful for letting your opponent take more poison or burn damage, especially Toxic damage.
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Multiple Magikarp debuted in What a Dragonite, where they escaped a Dragonite. In Whacked by Marowak!, Erika is seen teaching a class about Magikarp that can learn Dragon Rage. A Magikarp appeared in Breath of the Dragonair Part 1, under the ownership of a Trainer.
