Discover the Shaw. Shaw's FibrePlus network gives Canadians the ultra broadband experience. With a 100% fibre backbone spanning over 860,000 km, our network is built to provide faster Internet speeds to more customers than any other Western Canadian provider.
Slow Internet speeds can be caused by a variety of factors, including Shaw network issues, equipment failures, software programs that use up a lot of memory or data, computer viruses and other malware, poor WiFi connection, and more.
Shaw: Higher available speeds, at least 1 period a month where the internet down for hours, the non-stop plan rate increases (it felt at least twice a year), and less than helpful tech support after a long hold. Telus: Lower speeds but much more reliable.
To run a Shaw Speedtest:
- Wire your device to the modem with an Ethernet cable, or stand within 10 feet of your modem.
- Connect your device to your WiFi network's 5G wireless band.
- Browse to speedtest.shaw.ca.
- Click or tap Go.
