Wonder Woman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character is a founding member of the Justice League.
approximately 5,000 years old
Superhuman Speed: Donna Troy was able knock Raven without being notice by her. She appears only as blur when moving at superhuman speeds. Flight: When Donna Troy became Deathbringer, she discovered the power to fly at high speeds.
Origin. In her debut in All Star Comics #8, Diana was a member of a tribe of women called the Amazons, native to Paradise Island – a secluded island set in the middle of a vast ocean.
In writer Brian Azzarello and artist Cliff Chiang's New 52 run, Wonder Woman's origin is changed: Diana learns she was never made out of clay, and — like what the movie implies with Ares — the clay story was used as a cover by Wonder Woman's mother to hide that she and Zeus had had a relationship.
Wonder Woman tells the tale of Princess Diana of Themyscira. Her original origin story says she was formed out of clay by her mother, Hippolyta, and had life bestowed upon her by the Greek gods — making her the only Amazon not conceived by a man.
Donna Troy, alias Wonder Girl and later Troia and Wonder Woman, is a superhero with a long association with the Teen Titans and Titans. As a magical mirror duplicate of Wonder Woman, she is considered her sister.
In this new timeline, Wonder Woman is no longer a clay figure brought to life by the magic of the gods. Rather, she is the demigoddess daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus: King of the Greek Gods. Her original origin is revealed as a cover story to explain Diana's birth as a means to protect her from Hera's wrath.
Five Wonder Woman Weaknesses You Didn't Know About
- She is her own weakness.
- She can be poisoned.
- Piercing weapons can harm her.
- She can be bound by her own lasso.
- Getting poked in the eyes can undo her. You can imagine that this isn't easy since she's extremely fast, intelligent, and tough.
Donna has not been shown using those powers since regaining her memories. Over the years, Donna has grown extremely powerful, with power and strength, almost rivaling her big sister, Diana (Wonder Woman).
Wonder Woman, or Princess Diana as she's also known, is a goddess, and I don't mean that figuratively. Her mother is Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazon race in Greek mythology, while her father is Zeus, the ruler of all the Greek gods.
Having earned the appreciation of the general public in the vicinity of the finale's chaos, Donna Troy (aka Wonder Girl) was forced to step in and rescue them from a falling transmission tower. The action resulted in Donna's death when she succumbed to her injuries via electrocution.
Wonder Woman has never been designated as truly immortal and unaging. In the DCnU, Wonder Woman is the offspring of Zeus and Hippolyta and as such should be at least a demigod. That would not necessarily make her immortal, but she should be remarkably long-lived.
Here is a description of some of his main enemies: Mandarin - Mandarin is Iron man's archenemy. He has superhuman abilities in the martial arts as well as 10 rings of power. The rings grant him the powers such as Ice blast, flame blast, electro blast, and matter rearranger.
In Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth, she sort of fears that mankind was scared of her and didn't want her help. Those are just guesses. I doubt that she fears of heights or the dark. She's a fearless warrior, so the only logical fears she would have would be based on relationships and lost of love.
In the Superfriends cartoon, each hero has villains in the legion of Doom, they make cheetah and Giganta as Wonder Woman villains. Because of that many people thought that she was her arch enemy. Lack of knowledge of the character.
Post-Crisis on Infinite Earths (in 1985), Wonder Woman's origin has been rebooted, and she could fly freely from the start. Hippolyta made a baby out of clay and the goddesses (plus Hermes, for some reason) granted Diana beauty, power, strength, speed and flight.
Then, almost immediately after their honeymoon was over, she took total control of its throne. Other stories suggest that Circe had been married the King of Sarmaria, who she then poisoned so that she could gain control of his Kingdom.
Circe is no villain. She is a strong, intelligent, witty, independent woman. Circe did not depend on Odysseus, but instead he depended on her.
Circe the Beautiful Witch. Circe ranks as one of the greatest witches of mythology. A beautiful enchantress - she likes nothing better than to turn men into pigs. (Some have seen her as a bit of a feminist).
One day, a ship's crew arrives on the island. Circe receives them hospitably, and entertains them at dinner. However, when they find out that she is living completely alone, the captain rapes her. Regaining her voice, she turns the whole crew into pigs and kills them all.
Despised by her divine family, Circe discovers her powers of sorcery when she turns a human fisherman into a god. When he spurns her for another nymph, Scylla, Circe transforms her rival into a horrific sea monster who becomes the sourge of all sailors – an act that will haunt Circe for the rest of her life.
Since Scylla was accustomed to bathe in the sea, Circe, daughter of Sol, out of jealousy poisoned the water with drugs, and when Scylla went down into it, dogs sprang from her thighs, and she was made a monster. She avenged her injuries, for as Ulysses [Odysseus] sailed by, she robbed him of his companions."
While Scylla was bathing in the sea, the jealous Circe poured a baleful potion into the sea water which caused Scylla to transform into a frightful monster with four eyes and six long snaky necks equipped with grisly heads, each of which contained three rows of sharp shark's teeth.
Telemachus married Circe, and Telegonus married Penelope.
Circe does precisely that and, furthermore, taken aback by his bravery, offers Odysseus her sincere love and unconditional devotion. Odysseus accepts them, and, as a result, his men stay in Aeaea for almost a year, after which Odysseus becomes restless to go back to Ithaca and once again see his mortal wife, Penelope.
