Cave Run Lake is located within the scenic Eastern Highlands region of Kentucky in Bath, Rowan, Morgan, and Menifee counties. The 8,270-acre lake is 60 miles east of Lexington.
The source of the Green River is Lincoln and Casey counties in Kentucky. The mouth of is the Ohio River. The depth map covers water space only to a depth of 8 feet from Rochester (Kentucky) to the Ohia River near Evansville.
Grayson Lake is located in Carter and Elliott counties; impounded from the Little Sandy River by the Corps of Engineers in 1968. Sheer sandstone canyons and gentle slopes surround the 1,512 acres of Grayson Lake.
Campbellsville, city, seat of Taylor county, central Kentucky, U.S. It lies near the juncture of the Bluegrass, Pennyroyal, and Knobs regions, 85 miles (137 km) south-southeast of Louisville.
Park options include an 18-hole miniature golf course, hiking trails, a beach, picnic area, and a playground. The lake's marina has a restaurant, boat slips, and rentals for different types of boats.
There are three major tributaries (Beaverdam Creek, Alexander Creek and Big Bear Creek) in this section of the Green River. This area is popular for largemouth bass, spotted bass, walleye, sauger, muskellunge, crappie and bluegill fishing.

No restrictions are posted at the lake at this time, but as always visitors are reminded to take precautionary measures while enjoying the lake.
The lake was developed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 1969 by impounding the Green River. The dam is an 11-mile drive equidistant from the cities of Campbellsville and Columbia.

Mammoth Cave Canoe & KayakThe Green River through Mammoth Cave National Park is one of the finest family oriented canoeing streams in the state of Kentucky. Canoers can expect to encounter deer, beaver, fox, bobcat, wild turkey, a large variety of birds, and fish such as muskie, small mouth bass, and catfish.
Open all year. There are excellent birding opportunities throughout the park, but of special note is in the mature forests around the campgrounds, park trails, the Wildlife Viewing Trail, and the entire lake area boasts an abundant population of species.
Barren River Lake covers 20,150 acres at maximum flood control pool and 10,000 acres at normal summer pool.
The Green River in Kentucky is a mysterious beauty. People living near it say it is the deepest river in the world.
The average depth is about 25 feet, and at its deepest point, just above the dam, the lake is 65 feet deep. The winter drawdown reduces the lake to 6,650 acres and an elevation of 664 feet.

The Green River is itself a tributary of the Broad River. The river is dammed to form Lake Summit, in Tuxedo, North Carolina, and Lake Adger near Mill Spring, NC.

Lake Level Update: as of 6:00 am lake level is 675.50 with a setting of 20 tenths on the bypasses and an outflow of around 400 cfs (cubic feet of water per second).
From Pinedale, drive 7 miles west on U.S. Highway 191. Turn north onto Wyoming Highway 352 and continue 25 miles to the forest boundary, where the pavement ends. Continue on the dirt road for 18 miles to the campground.
