Deliveries and collections should take place across the UK today. Royal Mail is working hard to deliver the most comprehensive and high quality service we can to all our customers, large and small.
The Royal Mail operates on a traditional schedule of Monday to Saturday, generally not delivering Mail on a Sunday, closing with most banks. Since the Royal Mail has become a publicly traded entity, there have been some exceptions to the rule however.
While we continued to provide a letter delivery service from Monday to Friday as normal, we temporarily no longer delivered letters on a Saturday. We made this temporary change to help ease the additional burden on our hard-working colleagues.
Many people will be wondering if there any postal deliveries or collections at all over the bank holiday weekend. Royal Mail has confirmed that there would be no collections or deliveries on Good Friday, on April 10.

While most stores operate normal hours on Easter Saturday, they often operate reduced hours on bank holidays and Easter Sunday. It's important to note that the majority of supermarkets will be closed on Easter Sunday, but check their websites for your local store.
Yes, today, Good Friday, is indeed a bank holiday, although check with your employer that bank holidays are included as part of your statutory leave before you clock off for the day.

It is an optional holiday in Texas. It is becoming a holiday that is more widely observed than some Federal holidays with an estimated 20% of employees enjoying a holiday on Good Friday. As Good Friday does not have Federal holiday status for the United States Postal Service, then there will still be a mail service.
