Dynamic Parcel Distribution
Following the decision by the French government to close the border with the UK, we have no choice but to suspend our European road services to continental Europe with immediate effect. With regret, we are requesting our customers not to send any parcels on our DPD Classic service to Europe until further notice.
Your dpd driver is required to take a photo of the parcel at the point of delivery as a proof of delivery. The parcel sender is expecting a signature as proof of delivery, instead of a signature, our driver takes a photo of the parcel in the doorway to prove it was handed over.
The delivery times vary each day from around 8am to 6pm. Drivers in other countries all deliver from Monday to Friday. During Bank holidays there will be no deliveries.

DPD pride themselves on their time-critical service, so it may be an ideal option if you are offering your customers a range of delivery options and specific time slots.
USPS is best for small packages and PO boxes, UPS is best for heavy packages and reliable tracking, and FedEx is best for fast deliveries and Saturday shipping.
If you're sending an item yourself and, having checked the options, have found that Royal Mail is the cheapest – or not far off it – the good news is that Royal Mail is offering to waive its usual fee of 72p per parcel (or 60p per prepaid return parcel) and collect up to five parcels a day for free until Sunday 30 May.
Unlike everyone else I find Hermes far more efficient, good value for money and far better than Royal Mail. I only use Royal Mail when I really have to. There are occasional problems with rogue Hermes couriers but I have very few damages (and I send out candles).
DPD and CollectPlus were voted the UK's best parcel delivery companies in an annual poll of more than 9,000 MoneySavingExpert (MSE) users. Ipostparcels, Yodel and CitySprint were at the other end of the rankings, and got the poorest service ratings.
DPD has a sophisticated service that provides parcel delivery to all parts of the UK as well. These services can be separated into next day, two day, and Ireland services.
If you use the Online Shipping Service of DPD, your parcel is insured against damage and loss according to the AVC-CMR conditions without extra payment.
