LAN: A blinking green light is normal. A blinking light means you are having difficulty connecting to the internet. Ensure all telephone cable connections are tight and secure and reboot the modem and router (if applicable). POWER: A solid green light indicates the unit is properly connected to power.
If your Hub's Broadband light is slowly flashing green, it's trying to connect your broadband service. If the flashing continues: Check the status of your broadband service at BT Service Status. Check that the red broadband cable is correctly fitted into your Hub and the LAN1 socket on the Openreach modem.
On a modem (or a router/modem combo)
This light is often labeled as Online, Cable, Sync or Signal and usually has a symbol similar to the internet light on a router as mentioned above. Under normal conditions, this light should be solid green (or amber).Power Light: Operating State

Unplug the power from the router, start TFTP or the Linksys tool, and then plug the power back into the router. It should flash. Wait 3 minutes for it to finish flashing, then power cycle it and do a 30/30/30 hard reset. Be sure to use DD-WRT build 10068 or later.
Before you continue below, make sure you've first tried a hard reset to revive your router:
- Disconnect the router from all cables except the power cable.
- Push reset button for 30 secs.
- Without releasing reset button, disconnect power cord.
- Hold the reset button for another 30 secs.
- Replug the power cord.

In order for devices on the network to connect to the Internet, the router must be connected to a modem. Therefore, most routers have a specific Ethernet port that is designed to connect to the Ethernet port of a cable or DSL modem. A modem is a device that provides access to the Internet (see below).
First, check your connections: Try using a different Ethernet cable and, if possible, a different computer. Maybe it's your system that's being fussy and not your networking device. If you can, unplug the router from the modem and unplug it from its electrical outlet. Cycle the power on the modem.
When a wireless router's light keeps blinking and you are able to use it to access the Web, it means the device is working properly. However, if blinking is all the device does, there may be a problem. A wireless router is sitting on a table.
Online light: Off
Try a “power cycle” on your modem/gateway. This can be done by unplugging it, leaving off for 1 minute, then plugging back in. Try resetting your modem/gateway. This can be done by holding the Reset button for at least 11 seconds and then releasing it.Usually, TP-LINK powerline adapters have three LED lights: First one stands for power; Second one stands for powerline connection; Third one stands for Ethernet connection.
When you see router orange light, check out what it means in detail: Blinking Orange LED: It implies the modem is trying to connect over the network. Solid color orange LED: It means the modem has found router over the network and is trying to build a secure connection.

The orange color makes since the router you have is 10/100mb wired lan port so the fastest speed t can handle is around a 100mb and flashing of the internet light is normal it would be green if a 1gb lan port was used.- Turn off the router and then turn it back on to see if the Power LED turns green or white.
- Press and hold the Reset button to restore the router to its factory settings.
- If the Power LED is still amber or blinking then connect your computer to the LAN port of the router.

Solid orange light means "device is booting". It might have gotten stuck booting. You can try the reset again but try holding the reset button for 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, you can try using a tftp procedure to send new firmware to the device.Usually the orange light on an ethernet adapter means connection speed of 1000Mb/s or it can mean connected at half duplex. Either way it should go out when no cable is plugged into it. Now every adapter is different. Maybe it means something else on your adapter, possibly it only means you have power to the adapter.
