While their problems are not money-related like those of the Greasers, the Socs crave limits and boundaries which are completely missing from their lives. As unproblematic as it sounds, their biggest problem is that they are never told what they may or may not do.
The greasers liked to wear: white or black T-shirts with rolled up sleeves, blue or black jeans with cuffs rolled-up, baggy cotton-twill work trousers motorcycle boots, army boots, Chuck Taylor All-Star converse, bandannas, chain wallets, black leather gloves, and fedoras.
In terms of footwear, greasers often wore Converse Chuck Taylor All Star high-top sneakers, motorcycle boots, cowboy boots or black leather engineer boots with steel toes. Often footwear was worn with exposed white socks. Tattoos were common, as were cigarettes and Wayfarer or Aviator style sunglasses.
