A Cat boy may come in many types of variety, most notably, on how they act or how they look. There also are those who Cosplay them for the fun of it, those who are straight up cat boys and even some who are able to shapeshift from human to a cat.
Okami is a wolf, it can be a little hard to tell kitsunes and okaimi' apart by just looking at the ears. They're very, very similar. If you look to the tail though, an okaimi's tail is generally shorter and scraggly-looking, and has a slight curve near the top. Okaimi is also the name of a wolf the Japanese worship.
Waifu is a term for a fictional character, usually in anime or related media, that someone has great, and sometimes romantic, affection for.

Neko girl is referred to as Nekomimi (??) in Japanese and it literally means "Cat ears" in English. They are a cat-human hybrid who is looking very much like a person, but with additional features like cat ears, tail and sometimes, paws.
My tips on roleplaying as a neko
- Do what cats do best.. Roll around, be attracted to catnip, love eating fish and milk
- But don't do it too much. Remember, you're still a humanoid.
- Use your tail and ears. Flick it from side to side, make it sway slowly, make it stick straight up
- Cats aren't exactly the toughest creatures
